I'm happy with Internet Explorer, thanks for the thought though. By the way if you dont have Service pack 2 for windows XP then either get it, or yes do yourself a favor and download firefox.

FireFox is the best browser no that I had configured it properly.

I hate IE now, it's HORRIBLE! Once you get use to the functions of FireFox though, and Service Pack 2 blows as. Im on a 3 meg connection and when I installed service pack it took me down to a 384k connection and my ISP flat out said, service pack 2 can alter your online speeds. So **** on Service Pack and Windows....Im switching to Mac OS X soon anyways.

i use opera its pretty much same as ff, been using it for ages now, i might change to ff sometime in the future but for now opera is doing the job for me, the only time i ever use internet explorer is when im testing websites out for functionality in the main browsers, i never use it only as it is crap lol
also linux > windows :p

yeah the tabbed browsing rules man.
it can be a pain getting plugins to work though.
Linux also is extremely good but lacks the industry support that windows has :(

You should know that Firefox, unlike Internet Explorer, has huge security problems. The biggest which Firefox cant fix is URL spoofing, someone cane actually make you think your going to ebay.com when in fact its a geocities website and steal all your information.

For all it's faults, IE is the "safest" browser that there is. I use Firefox, Opera, Netscape and Mozilla to test and changes to the site to make sure they look the same but Ive noticed that there are certian aspects of them that I just don't like. Like someone stated earlier, the difficult time of making plugins work, some websites don't look correct as they would in IE, especially websites with Frontpage plugins (very big majority)and many scripts are not compatible with Firefox.

Wow osX that is such a drastic change man.

Also as for which browser is faster, maybe firefox seems faster on slower computer (have not tested it)but on my mainstream 2.4ghz pentium 4 pc they are the same.

As far as download speeds go i download at my isp 1500kbps cap so... maybe its not Service pack 2. So it doesnt have tabbed browsing, it can actually be a pain if you use the scroll button to quickly scroll down web pages. Everytime u click it if your on a link it opens a damn tab.

I also use Firefox on My Linux partition and to test out webpages on my windows partition by the way. In my opinion the coolest feature firefox has is the integrated Google search.

Safari on OSX works better than Mozilla IMHO.
