I eat food a few hours before such as grains and brown rice - food that slowly releases constant energy. I keep hydrated and well rested and don't do any huge excercises for the days leading up to the fight. Whilst in the dressing room I like to listen to some music that calms me, gets me focussed and motivated. Can be anything from the rocky soundtrack or somthing completely different as long as it motivates you. Once I'm gloved up I do some warm up excercises on the mitts before going out to kick ass! Good luck with your fight. yrrej 03-07-2006, 03:36 PM Eat light well ahead of time and relax. opethdrums 03-09-2006, 01:11 AM stuff yourself with spaghetti right before you go out and take laxatives to make it digest faster.. trust me it works Manfredo Jr 03-09-2006, 02:23 PM I have a fight coming up and im curious what you all do prior to it. What do you do meal-wise and warming up and everything just eat healty , and the day your fighting dont be scared to get those fluids into you and if your hungry eat , i no its really hard not to but try not to get yourself uptight. if its your first fight your opponent will be probs the same as u , he will be just as worried as you are , i know its hard to think tht but he will , just go out there and box , dont get into a street fight but dont let him get u on the ropes! if ur on the ropes Either grab him and turn him or put ur arms under his and lift cos then he cant do anything , the ref will say break but it gets you of the ropes ;) and remember everytime the ref says break put ur hands up.if you want to spk to me about it pm me and ill send u my email adres , i found it helped getting to spk to ppl b4 i had my first fight . anyways good luck and remember protect urself at all times! Southpaw Stinger 03-09-2006, 02:30 PM but dont let him get u on the ropes! lol! El Guapo 03-09-2006, 03:21 PM i train lmao! no really, warm up, strech, and relax on that whole day before the fight! o' and forget about the fight!!!! machotime 03-09-2006, 03:40 PM I have a fight coming up and im curious what you all do prior to it. What do you do meal-wise and warming up and everything Eat oat meal and anything with lots of whole grains. Things like brown rice or wheat pasta is light enough, but provides carbohydrates that will give you a long lasting energy supply. Sleep and rest as much as you can. Also I usually take about 4 L-Glutamine capsules prior to a fight or a day of extensive sparring. L-glutamine can greatly delay muscle exhaustion. |
