There are no guarantees when some teams play. Records are close to meaningless in the face of real hate! That's why it's dangerous to bet Dallas/Washington or Miami/Jets or Miami/N.E. !!
When the Steel Curtain was at it's strongest and the Bengals were almost impotent, they would give Pittsburg fits sometimes winning twice in a year! Bradshaw was so happy to beat them one year that he crowed on national T.V. that he had just beaten the best QB in football. He was referring to Kenny Anderson....not a guy likely to see the HOF without a ticket!
Throw the records out when some teams play and don't be completely shocked at the upsets!

...Yeah, it will take a real unusual set of circumstances for the Eagles to have any chance whatsoever. I could envision a very savage beating for Philly.

the way the pats played against pitt is scary... don't get me wrong, i love the pats and their win-streak in the playoffs is something to think about when picking out the winner of this one. But just like the lakers after their three-peat, i'd rather see snother team rise up to victory and then on the next season, the pats can bounce back and win it all over again... just to make some drama and more excitement... but if they win, my hat's off to them...

This is the worst Super Bowl possible for me as it features 2 of my most hated teams. I was praying that the Eagles would lose their 4th straight NFC Championship game. That would have been hilarious! And of course I was rooting foor the Steelers although i didn't think they had much of a chance.

I picked both of these teams to meet in the big game at the begining of the season so it's not a big surprise to see them here, but it sucks from a rooting standpoint. The Eagles are my all time most hated team, but they do feature 2 great former Gators. I never truly hated the Pats until i moved up here and they started winning. Their fans are some of the worst and are already calling the pats the "greatest dynasty ever" :rolleyes:

It would almost be worth rooting for the hated Eagles just to see the pats lose and their fans eat crow.
