Truth 03-02-2006, 07:32 PM Do you think Suge will ever get Death Row back to where the company was in the early 1990's? mic573 03-02-2006, 07:40 PM No because they don't drop anything. Crooked I has had a major set back while being on Deathrow. All he wants to do is re-release old albums and make greatest hits albums. the traveler 03-02-2006, 07:42 PM He'd have to get really lucky and find a 50-cent-type-gangster rapper that's able to appeal to the masses. It's hard to say if he'll be able to. 50 cent/aftermath have the rap game pretty much locked up, and it would take alot to overtake them, especially when Death Row and G Unit are bitter rivals. EXIGE 03-02-2006, 07:44 PM They are gonna need Pac MK II to for that to work, and lets be honest, it wont be anytime soon that Pac MK II graces the earth, especially when kids are being bought up on "ill take you to the candy-shop, ill let you lick the lolly pop", as their first listenings of hip hop. Tony Blitz 03-02-2006, 09:15 PM Hell no, Suge Knight's reputation is ruined. You're guaranteed to get ****ed over once you sign with him. He said he's "bringing the west coast back" with who, Petey ****ing Pablo? :lol1: IAm... 03-02-2006, 09:42 PM not when you got 1 hit wonders like petey pablo in your stable. sisforshaq 03-02-2006, 09:51 PM Death Row records has lost all respect and authenticity in Hip Hop. Suge Knight to me besides giving them a "hard" image, never did ****. It was Dre and Daz on the boards, classic albums that came out with that catchy G Funk sound. I was never a big Deathrow fan, but they sold well and had catchy hits. No talent on your roster and incredibly repative, weak mixtape sounding production is what they are onto. They will never reform to what they were. The Fix 03-03-2006, 06:26 AM they created death row east and signed lake. he is there "flagship" artist, now lake is decent but come on, what kind of sales are they expecting? Truth 03-03-2006, 08:18 AM they created death row east and signed lake. he is there "flagship" artist, now lake is decent but come on, what kind of sales are they expecting? Lake is cool, I heard him... the traveler 03-03-2006, 05:28 PM Yeah, Lake isn't really a guy that will generate a lot of sales. He's more so of a Cormega type of rapper that will make grimy, street records that don't go pop. restless_438 03-03-2006, 05:47 PM they really dropped the ball when they lost Crooked I mic573 03-03-2006, 06:44 PM they really dropped the ball when they lost Crooked I It's thier own fault. They practically forced him out by not dropping his album. |
