In weight training, which is easier to develop, the back or the chest? I don't care much about scientific approach because I'm sure there plenty of articles supporting both, but more from experience and opinion. Thanks.

Back is harder to develop.

I think upper back isn't that tough if your lean, but lower back is difficult. Yeah, my friend at the gym told me the back is easy to develop thats why I was wondering.

Depends on the individual. My back, legs, triceps, and shoulders grow well even without very much training, but my chest lags behind a bit. It's all genetics and the way your body is structured IMO. Some people say the lower back is hard to grow but I barely train it and it's pretty developed. Some people say the chest is very easy to develop and mine is far from great.

I find the back the more difficult, exercises are more difficult/akward to perform and it's discouraging cause lighter weights are used....
Chest however have numerous workouts, The movements themselves are easy to perform and hey pushups are fun as hell especially the last 2-3 where it's you vs gravity..
Also it's easier to notice and see results where as your back, well you just can't see your entire back, unless you have the propper setup of mirrors..
