No matter how much I eat and no matter what it is I pound back, it is impossible to gain weight. I'm almost 17 and have havnt grown for over a year. 6'2'' at about 16O pounds. I have an extensive weight training schedule aswell which has made me stronger, but in no ways bigger. Any suggestions as to a specific diet or training routine? Thanks

start juicing.

just kidding. are you going for boxing, or just trying to get bigger? if you wanna box, i say dont fight it, a lot of guys would kill to not have to fight weight gain. if you wanna get bigger, i still say **** it. who wants to look like a muscle head when youve got the strength?

if youre really stuck on getting bigger, try some supplements. creatine, xyience, etc.

in order to gain muscle mass eat 1.5 grams of protein per lb of bodywieght and somewhere around 2.2 grams of carbs per lb. that will make you grow combined with lifting.

Drink beer and eat pizza. Seriously, you'll get bigger naturally. Check out Ali when he was your age. If you are boxing, you don't want to be gaining useless muscle anyway, just developing the muscle mass you need to fight. The people with Fast Twitch Type B muscle tend to build the most mass, e.g. bodybuilder types. If you aren't in this bracket, you won't gain very fast, because endurance work is counterproductive to muscle gain, but essential for boxing. Anyway, there's worse things than being thin, like being fat. Tommy Hearns was 6'2" and 147 pounds and he could punch with anybody. Try to concentrate on improving your delivery and leverage. Hearns used to jab/cross, bringing his right up next to his head, and then dropping it down on his (inevitably) shorter opponent, taking advantage of gravity. And he had a lot of weight in his arms, which made his punch heavier (since his arms were long). Take a look at some of his old fights. Also Bob Foster who was tall and lean but dominant at light heavy.
