I don't know what it is, but I can't let go of my fascination with him. His punch is still like a heavyweights.

Vargas should fight Oscar again.. Only Oscar knows he would lose..

I DLH would win again, only this time more easily, Vargas aint the same fighter he was in his day.

Don King was a big scary guy back in the day. Maybe he should have given boxing a try himself, rather than leech off the talent of other fighters. ;)

Vargas is first rate boxer, and I think he will be back. He lost the fight technically, but he did not really get beaten. I hope his perfromance will open doors for other interesting matchups.

He got beaten...unless that swelling was caused from a head butt. Does anyone know?

i dont know what fight you saw but i didnt see any running. i saw two good fighters hitting eachother with all they had and the more skilled guy coming out with a victory.

sorry but it's over . He has not beat a top fighter in forever outside of Quartey and can not stay healthy . I think it's just all the time off that hurts him. Maybe if he takes some lesser fights for awile he can come back

Both Mosley and Vargas looked a lot better than I thought they would. Vargas might have won the fight if it went the distance. He looked stronger than I've seen him lately, even if he was fighting a smaller guy. He just wasn't active enough, and the eye was bad luck, although I thought it was a legitimate stoppage. Mosley was throwing punches in bunches like he hasn't done in a long time and looked real sharp also. He took some hard shots as well without flinching. Both legitimate contenders at this point....

Vargas is at the contender status right now, far from elite. but i will say that he did look good despite his eye, but Mosley was too quick and knew how and when to move, thats all. if it had been some one who was willing to trade more with Vargas, Fernando would've got the better of him, but Mosley knew how much he could take and get out of the pocket, good instinct on Mosleys part.
Vargas can make a run at 154lb and maybe 160lb but not for long, the sand in his hour glass is running fast. i would day that Vargas has about 6 good fights left in him physically, mentally is a whole other realm. i'm also counting his tune ups too, which i think when he does have a tune up they're going to give him some semi decent guys to fight, to keep up his public interest.

still far from elite there guy......
