decision he could ever make....140 is the absolute highest weight that floyd could effectively fight at.....he could beat all the top 140 pounders and should fight them all........I hope he fights ZOO first before he moves up

He already said in his interview with boxing talk that he wants his next 3 fights to be Gatti, then Zoo, then Shane or Oscar. I think he matches up well with the guys at 147 and he could fight effectivley. If Zab can do it, then so can he

True but the guy can do so many things which I think will allow him to go further than most

Mayweather will most likely go after big names at Junior Welterweight first. He said he would fight four more times before year end. Which means Gatti and Zoo could be happening. If he beats Gatti which he will, and Zoo (a toss up) then he should move up. He could take time to put on extra weight and with his speed i think he could beat Mosley if he was smart and moved up slowly. As for DLH i dont know how smart that is but im sure if he gets a shot he will try anyway.

If Duran can move up from lightweight to middle why can't floyd?

bcos he is not duran

even if he turned to be the better fighter (maybe, one day, if and when he fights serious opponents like he used to do at 130 and vs castillo, beating them), it's not automatic his body will grow like el cholo's

Alot of other fighters have done this. DLH started at 130. I think Floyed can go pretty far. 154 is kind of a stretch but I could definatly see him going to 147 after a little while.

I think Floyd can move up to 147 but I don't think he should go to 154, I think thats to high.

Wow, I wonder how far back in history would you have to go to find threads that didn't hate on Mayweather? I reckon is started with Mexican fans and his fight with Castillo

I have to admit........Floyd has balls coming up in weight, he was just like Pac....a small fighter that adjusted in a heavier weightclass everytime. Those fighters are indeed bigger than him.....it was the Oscar fight that ****ed him up, and made him greedy.

ther eis a big difference between may and pac. May did it clean. as may moved up in weight, he had to adjust his style b/c he lost speed and power unlike pac.

shut up man, boxing is a business as much as it is a sport. legacy doesnt bring money most of the time. dude wanted to make sure his paper was right...he was smart.

That sounds about right. A controversial decision is enough to turn anyone against a fighter.

Well I remember distinctly (no on this site because I didnt visit it back then) that people used to say Floyd was scared of and was ducking Ricky Hatton as well as Baldomir when he fought Zab Judah... Last year it was Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao... Now he's fighing Mosley and most likely Pacquiao at the end of the year... I wonder who will they say next?... Berto and Bradley?

But he gave the man his rematch though.

Yea, that is the trend on this site. This is my newest account, but I remember those grumblings.

Probably Margarito and Cotto.

I don't know why people keep mentioning those two. Margarito is a cheat, and Cotto is a shell of what he once was(Has suffered 2 brutal beatings and went to war with Clottey).

Cheat or not, I'm interested in Floyd fighting Margarito, just because that fool can take a beating. Not interested in a Cotto match at all.

He did, but the damage was done IMO. Leaving a bitter taste in the mouth of Mexican fans is a huge blow.

I'm beginning to learn how to appreciate Floyd and this ******* criticizes me for giving props to Floyd.

Chups i kind of like these old threads because alot of old posters appear who dont post anymore.

Whats funny is, if these threads prove anything, its that filipinos have been hugging pac, boom boom, randy suico and rodel mayol since the beggining!!
