I got my first fight coming up in 3 months. I've been in the gym for two months now. The fight is gonna be an exhibition, its a charity event for cancer, but my trainer thinks it will be good for me to get use to an organized fight. i was hoping some of you guys that have fought can help me with problems you have had leading up to your first fight.

the key is to hit the other guy, but don't let him hit you...
seriously, try not to be too tense, loosen up, and its for charity, so it really doesnt mean much in terms of your boxing

I'd work more on technique in the fight than outpowering the other guy.

'stay in the area where the crowd is all the way until
its time for you to get ready to fight.
this will help you get use to the crowd
you dont want to be in the back chilling and
come out to fight and bam the anxiety hits you.
stay relaxed and work on the things you worked on
in the gym
think of it as sparring
