View Full Version : do you want Valuev to be a good champ
AREALFIGHTER 02-25-2006, 07:32 PM I kinda feel sorry for the guy he gets very little respect both the Donald and Ruiz fights were close but he is one of the champs now and I hope he does well. I was disapionted that he is fighting beck. There are plenty of other guys he could have fought like maskaev barret or kirt johnson but why beck that was kinda gay but I think valuev does what his managment tells him to do. The guy he should be fighting is Austin who beat beck. But really I hope he does well and can get some quality wins over some decent fighters.
blockhead 02-25-2006, 07:34 PM he cant be a good champ because he isnt a good boxer, he has gotten gifts all the way to where he is now, valuev is a ****ing joke.
i wanted him to do good befroe i heard he hit a 61 year old police man i would not hit anyone that old. value is a jackass

The Donald fight was not close.
It was 8 rounds to 4 for Donald very clearly. He was outright robbed in that fight, and there's no way it could have possibly been scored for Valuev.
I want a lot of things to happen, but Valuev being a good champ isn't possible. He sucks.
SquareCircle 02-25-2006, 07:40 PM valuev is technically more gifted than ali, whitaker, and duran.
on a more serious note,i voted no.

whatare you talking about?
naw Valuev won't be a great champ, and I really don't want him to. He has a boring style, and outside of his physical size i'd say there is really nothing as an attraction.
He'll lose to a decent fighter soon enough, and more than likely it will be a reality check.
LostGuy 02-25-2006, 07:44 PM dont care if he is then he is and if not well he lives up to everyones expectations
AREALFIGHTER 02-25-2006, 07:47 PM From what I hear the guy is just know realy learning how to fight and its true that his style is boaring. He only uses his long reach when he fights if he could learn how to use his size that would be better I think if he learns to shorten his punches when he gets close to his opponent he would be more effective and then move out and use his jab.
Mishra100 02-25-2006, 09:27 PM I want him to be a good champ because he will bring in more fans to boxing. People will flock to heavyweight if they know that some 7'0 guy is knocking people out. But the realism in this happening? Next to none.
Parody 02-25-2006, 09:33 PM Well if he does well its good for boxing, Because hes the tallest and heaviest heavyweight, he has those 2 advantages and apart from that he is undefeated, currently if u see what the heavyweight division's state is, you cant have nothin but hopes for it.
gandhalf 02-25-2006, 09:33 PM Valuev is a ****ing neanderthal anyway..He's a freakshow.
Good champ or not, people are curious to see this mutant.
mutant = attracts curiosity = more popularity = good for the ratings.

and your a punk that is what this post is about valuev being respect as a boxer not a freakshow.
Piggu 02-26-2006, 01:17 AM I want him to lose to someone who will be a good champ. Someone young. Maybe Eddie Chambers.
Derranged 02-26-2006, 01:00 PM No the guy sucks, he got gift decisions. But how bout this. Say this Beast fought Wladimir or Vitali in Germany, who do you guys think the judges would be more biased towards?

Fight would not go to the cards.

Probably not, but lets just say it did.

Honestly....I'd say its fair game. Wlad would tear Valuev a new one though, It would be Wlad v.s. Mcline all over again.

Oooops. Sorry for not knowing.
enadeus 02-26-2006, 01:18 PM Well at this point he is a champ, but not a recognizable champ, and not the kind of champ I would have wanted the first Russian heavyweight champ to be. I don't think he has time to imporve his boxing skills, and will eventually lose by decesion. I don't see anyone knocking him out anytime soon.
Oooops. Sorry for not knowing.
Yes, he would rip him a new *******.

Are you implying that Wlad is gay? Has not there been enough said of this?
