Please dont post opinions unless youve actually used it or know someone whos used it. Thanks  187tek9 02-25-2006, 05:50 AM i tried it its ok for energy, but you can end up with water weight gain! yrrej 02-25-2006, 07:52 AM Creatine allows helps convert ADP back to ATP quicker. It's good for sports like boxing, where one gets a little rest period between rounds. Not so good for sports like long-distance runnning, where there is no recovery period. Also, not illegal. A natural-occurring substance in the human body. I take it immediately before working out, although most take it after. It is accumulated in the body to supplement what is already there. There are different versions. For the common, cheap version, creatine monohydrate, you have to take at least 5 grams a pop. Also you've got to take it every day for at least 2 weeks to build up a reserve supply in the body. You don't have to take it at the time of the workout, but can take it anytime. I think I notice a big difference when I use it, but it is subjective. patto1984 02-25-2006, 08:09 AM i took it lost 3kilos while on it, did alrite for endurance and strength training. but now im taking oxyshot which is spose to be more effective than creatine in producing atp. Zigga 02-25-2006, 11:44 AM creatine will replace ATP stores in ya body ADP is slightly different. ADP is the engine so to speak and ATP is the fuel. Creatine is good for shorts burst of energy. I found it helped me shift through my gears in a fight. Like my good friend said earlier u usually load to get levels high enough in the body. However this will usually result in water retention which will cause weight gain. Best way is to take a small amount 0.5g a day. After a month or so creatine levels will be just as high as loading and will result in no water retention therefore no weight gain. Creatine is best absorbed by having sugar with it, anything that causes an isulin ****e will help the absortion. Try a mixing creatine in with ya protein shake and adding a bannana. mayweather 02-25-2006, 03:13 PM Thanks guys good karma to all of you this helps a lot Ill probably be buying ATP Creatine Syrum from Muscle Marketing USA. Kinda expensive but if its good like you all say then ill do it. :D opethdrums 02-25-2006, 07:35 PM i dont agree with loading on creatine.. i noticed big results just from using small amounts. using a lot of it gives more risk of side effects enadeus 02-25-2006, 08:13 PM Once you stop taking it...game over you lose half your muscle. opethdrums 02-26-2006, 04:05 PM actually creatine causes your muscle cells to fill with water.. when you stop taking it you piss out the water and keep the same muscle. but you also appear to have less strength due to the energy benefits of creatine TonyRingside 02-26-2006, 04:51 PM i wouldn't use creatine, a guy at my gym gained 8 lbs in a week using it, it's not going to do anything for your boxing, it's just going to make you bigger. and once you stop taking it you lose all that weight and strength that you gained. enadeus 02-26-2006, 09:04 PM Once you stop taking it...game over you lose half your muscle. I meant to say you lose half your muscle strenght, sorry. RockyMarcianofan00 02-26-2006, 09:26 PM most creatine muscle drinks actually don't do anything directly to your muscle what they do is give you an energy booost (much like caffiene) which gives you the ability to lift more, then the proteins in it pack into your muscle so its basically like lifting, drink coffee, and eating a steak all in one :-P LightsOut Le 02-26-2006, 10:40 PM used it didnt like it...sometimes it doesnt even work, can be a placebo(some people dont react to creatine) jsut stick to your own strength..if you wanan get bigger and stronger eat more meat chicken and fish... you want endurance, run in intervals opethdrums 02-26-2006, 11:14 PM I meant to say you lose half your muscle strenght, sorry. didnt mean to be a nitpick sry. just wanted to get some info out mayweather 02-26-2006, 11:18 PM Another question for all you guys, How could u lose muscle after uve gained it if u continue working out even if u stop taking creatine. Thats like saying if u drink a protein shake and then stop drinking it u will get weaker. Any answers??? LightsOut Le 02-26-2006, 11:49 PM wait, how do you lose muscle? by not working out? IAm... 02-27-2006, 12:03 AM I know alot of football players that have taken it. I can't remember the exact proprtions but my teacher told me in one sitting its like eating 4-6 steaks. Protein=muscle gain if you want muscle gain then take it. Simple as that. patto1984 02-27-2006, 01:12 AM i placebo'ed on it. the best way to gain atp is by cellular respiration, creatine 2nd best. and even tho i lost weight while on it theres to much of a risk of puttin on water weight with it chris_cov 02-27-2006, 01:12 PM i weight lifted for 2 years before i took up boxing about 4 months ago and i was on creatine for bout 3 months and it makes a huge difference in your appearance but thats about it. u have to drink shit loads of water with it and if you dont drink enough u feel dehydrated when in the gym so i only recomend it for body builders not boxing. when i stopped takin it i lost a lot of muscle mass so u have to stick to it. mayweather 02-28-2006, 12:45 AM wait, how do you lose muscle? by not working out? haha dont try and be smart man. I was asking if u continue working out then how do u lose muscle. notice i SAID THAT in the question. Zigga 03-10-2006, 09:04 PM u wont loose muscle, its water what ur loosing if uve loaded up on it. But if go back to my earlier response take a small amount over 1 month rather then loading for a week and u wont have this problem. U can however loose muscle if ur doing shit loads of cardio i mean fuking loads and not eating enough calories and protein. unstoppable sam 03-10-2006, 09:12 PM i dont agree with loading on creatine.. i noticed big results just from using small amounts. using a lot of it gives more risk of side effects yeah i heard from my friends brother that creatine is bad for your liver over time. i dont know how true it is. but i would def check out the side effects that it has. alot of energy drinks are putting creatine in them now. Pugnacious_Z 03-10-2006, 10:56 PM ive been on creatine and havnt lost 1 ounce of weight which ive gained on it Zigga 03-11-2006, 07:06 PM Too be honnst there no reports or studies to suggest that creatine is unsafe. The only know problem is that it raises blood pressure if u dont drink enough water when taking the stuff. From a personal note ive also had a ache in my kinneys nothing major but i rekon it was when u sweat loads and are dehydrated and it straines them. Bottom line drink plenty on water ad u will be fine. LightsOut Le 03-12-2006, 03:28 AM the only creatine i get is in energy drinks....i dont wanna gain weight..so i dont wanna experiement with that shit. plus...it kinda seems liek a cheap shortcut...get your power form hard work..and if that doesnt work...start juicin vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
