Middleweight title challenger Howard Eastman says he's going to knock out Bernard Hopkins and deny him his record 20th world title defense when they meet February 19 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. "I'm very serious about what I do and say and I am telling you I will knock him out in five rounds," Eastman told Sporting Life. "I don't share the view that Hopkins is the best fighter in the world today for one second."

i think BHop is unstoppable and Eastmans defense is weak..

I for one am shocked and appalled by the Brit's comments...to say you are going to physically knock a man unconscious is not ethical and I do not support that kind of human being and I hope no one on this site condones those comments as well, absolutely disgusting!

Eastman's a good fighter, but to say he's going to knock 'Nard out is really reaching, it's just a bunch of hype like Danny Williams did before he fought VK.

he is trying to build hype for the fight, he knows he isnt gonna win, what has he shown to anyone that he could beat one of the best middleweights of all time? is he better than trinidad? hell no, trinidad kayo's his ass, hop will technically beat him down like he does the rest of them.

That's pretty much the way I see it going down.

Hopkins will do what Hopkins does. Thats just outbox him and beat him up until Eastman cant take it then Hopkins will take him out.

Eastman has been the mandatory for over two years - correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure, if that's the case, I apologize. In fact, if that's the case, that's ****ed up that he hasn't been given a fight yet.

I'm going to go out on a limb here. Way out. This is the fight Hops gets old. Eastman takes him the distance and makes him look bad. Bernard may get the decision, but he won't deserve it.

should be a good fight regardless....man, the EA thing is making me pretty nervous about this upcoming fight. But I've never seen Eastman fight and the net is down on my comp so I can't download his fights so I can form an opinion. I'm pretty much in the dark about how this cat can perform. I really hope Bernard wins this fight in amazing fasion, if not that at least good.
