i know that mosley didnt deserve the decision he got against oscar the 2nd time around, but seeing as how the 1st fight was a split decision, was that one controversial, too? or did mosley do just enough to get the nod from the judges?

Mosley did more than enough to get the nod, the first time.

There was no controversy, unless you were an Oscar groupie of some kind.

There is no disputing Mosley's win in the first bout. I really don't see how anyone could have given Oscar the nod.....Mosley took the fight from him when it counted, and brought the better gameplan.

He was hammering Oscar with huge counter shots late in the fight.

The second fight however was totally different. I really don't see how anyone could compare the two. Shane did NOT win the second fight, and robbed Oscar.

Mosely outworked and outschemed Oscar in their first bout. I thought he won that fight pretty clearly and deservedly.

Second bout was close, I gave Oscar the nod, thought he came in with a better plan and executed it. I was supremely bored by their second fight.

The second fight I had Oscar winning 115-113 but it was no where near as convincing as Mosley's win in the first fight. I wouldn't have mind a draw.

This is exactly my view, on both fights.

I had the first one 116-112 and I thought it was a decisive victory. Close through the first 2/3's but Mosley was awesome down the stretch. Second fight I had 115-113 for Mosley. I think a lot of people got swayed by the HBO team who though Oscar won. It can change your view of what you are seeing

my thoughts EXACTLY. even oscar said in an interview that he knew in his heart that he lost the first fight to mosely, but there was no way he lost the 2nd fight, he got robbed. you only have to see moseleys reaction to see how shocked he was he won the fight, when he was announced the winner lol.

i see mosley looking like a dick and oscar looking on in disbelief.

I thought Oscar won by a round, in the second fight.
But, he fought an overly tenative fight, overly tactical. He again let his opponent come on strong down the stretch.

I laugh almost every time I see your avatar. That expression on Mosley's face is absolutely priceless and hilarious.

And yes, most everyone has it right. Mosely won the first fight and Oscar won the second fight. Both clearly won each fight by 2-3 rounds.

The scoring in their 2nd fight definitely seemed a bit shady.

Thought Oscar won easily the second fight. Dictated the pace. Mosley had flashes of brilliance but they don't win rounds.

Mosley won the first but not as lopsided as Oscars win in the second fight.
