Well I don't think WInky can make 154 again unless the money is unreal so Vargas might have to move to middleweight which isn't a terrible idea given how he balloons between fights. Lets say Winky destroyed Taylor, I doubt it but it could happen. Then the best money fight for Wright besides Oscar is Vargas in the rematch. I think Vargas loses this weekend but if he doesn't I want to see Wright-Vargas 2

Man Vargas is not the sharpest tool in the shed but he is pretty funny.I hope he beats Shane and think he will for some reason and I think Winky will beat Taylor and it would set up a great rematch between Winky and Vargas.......Vargas will want to fight him if he is the undisputed Middleweight champ and Winky will do it too for the right price regardless of what he says now.

The first bout between Vargas and Wright was very close, and even disputable in some minds. I actually had it as a draw. I don't think it's that Winky's improved that dramatically since then. I think his confidence has grown tremendously, though. Fernando's not the same fighter that he was then, so I think IF they fought a rematch, which they won't, that Winky would win a one-sided decision. I don't see anyone beating Winky right now. I think Taylor would have a shot, but I still think Wright would take the decision in a fight about as boring as the two Taylor-Hopkins bouts. I see Sugar Shane taking a close decision this weekend, but you never know. While I'm ranting... I don't think Sam Soliman deserves a title shot following the Wright loss, and I don't think he has much of a chance against Bad Intentions. However, he has a lot of heart, and is very active in the ring. He throws a lot of punches, and gives it his all. He will probably never be a champion, but he has earned my respect.

vargas was a world class fighter, he took on tito when he was like 23 years old. if he had waited and faced some selected opposition, like cotto, then im sure he would have made a huge impact on the division, and possibly still a champ today

Vargas comes across as very likeable in that interview. He talks trash but within reason and he does it with intelligence. Completely unlike James Toney.

You seriously think Vargas is better than Winky. Winky will beat Taylor, if it goes down, and he would embarrass Vargas in a boxing clinic. People can talk all the **** they want about Winky, but he's IMO the #2 P4P fighter in the world. His fights may be considered boring. They're definitely not action-packed, but I enjoy watching the defensive genius at work. His jab is incredible, and no one at 154 or 160 will beat him for a while, until he's past his prime.

You want to know what the difference between Vargas and Winky is?

Most likely, when the final word is written about them in boxing history- Vargas will be remembered and respected for what he was, and Winky will be remembered and respected for what he became. Vargas isnt likely to recapture his youthful glory, whereas, regardless of wether you like his style, Winky will bow out with his skills and rep in tact.
