they do collect more money per week than 5 japanese people would spend in a lifetime on sushi

they also pay lots to charity, and are also taxpayers

we make a greater profit from their existence as castle upkeep etc is done through their private funds in the most part

there are also constitutional reasons for them to continue to exist

their existence gives them constitutional powers....thus tony blair does not strictly have them and the queen, could at any time take tony blairs right to use them....this prevents an elective dictatorship, such as that in nazi germany

to remove them would mean cofifying our 1000 year old and impossible to full trace constitution...hence if not written perfectly, much of our british culture, institutionally at least, will disappear

hence the royals are imperitive to the future, not just of the team, but the whole uk
