What r some of your thoughts of Margarito vs. PBF? Can Margarito pull it off or will Maywether out-box him?

Although margarito is much bigger.....I think PBF would just stay away and box carefully to victory like he did in the second fight with Castillo.I have been very impressed with Margarito tho since I have watched his past 2 fights.

He has a chance but he's also a slow wide looping puncher who gets hit easy by fighters who are not as quick as Mayweather. That type of fighter doesn't do good against Mayweather.

Mayweather has taking flush shots from Castillo, he took a pretty good lefthook from Corrales and he's taking punches from other fighters so I say his chin is durable. With Corley he got hit with a punch he didn't see coming and it stunned him for about two seconds and people make too big a deal about it. Margarito could land a similar punch but he's not as fast as Corley so his chance goes down a little.

margarito hits real hard so if he were to land he would have a really good chance. mayweather never been hit by a guy the size of margarito and itd be a new experience for him that he might not be able to take. but he throws wide so i dont think hed land many but who knows more strange things have happened

Fighters approach different fights/fighters differently. Floyd did not feel that Chop or Sharmba could really hurt him, so he took more of a "walk forward" approach with those guys.

Castillo, who is much stronger than those two, and landed more shots, wasn't able to stun Floyd in 24 rounds. PBF was more careful and opened up less. Corrales is a great puncher. Didn't faze Floyd. Tactical difference. Gatti is supposedly a power puncher. Well...

Frazier put Ali down and hurt him several times. Foreman, a MUCH stronger puncher, wasn't able to.

I see Floyd having an easy time with the man. After seeing Margarito-Gomez, there is no reason for Floyd to not fight him.

I give him a VERY good chance against PBF, hes heavy handed and pressure well, and throws alot of punches.

Margarito has a chance of KOing PBF but he will NEVER win a decision or even look good against him. Margarito has a punchers chance and that is about it. Margarito has many openings in his arsenal of punches. For every punch that Margarito lands, PBF will land 3. Margarito is a bug welter, and PBF is a small welter so the power that Margarito holds may be a challenge for PBF.

I actually favor Margarita in this match-up, having seen Antonia in person he's so much bigger than Floyd. If Margarita doesn't get hesitant w/ Floyd's "all-galaxy" reflexes and just keep throwin' he would have "Ugly Boy" Floyd winded by the 7th or 8th round therefore taking away Floyd's biggest weapons his speed and movement but Antonia needs to work his jab overtime against Floyd.

As faster guys go up in weight, stamina becomes an issue. That would be the angle I'd be taking if I was Margarito.

Margarito has a very good chance at beating Floyd Mayweather. Floyd's excuses for not fighting AM simply do not justify his not doing so. Arum has himself said he offered Mayweather in the neighborhood of 7 million dollars to fight AM and he flat out rejected it. Also he said Mayweather goes crazy every time they mention AM. So money is not the reason they do not match up, Arum knows that if AM beats PBF he's got a big money mexican on his hands, and that mexican fans are more than willing to pay to see AM go at it with floyd. Floyd claims they offered AM the april 8th date but that hasnt been verified by anyone outside the PBF camp. Floyd is an awesome fighter but AM is such a big welterweight that that PBF, who never even hurt Castillo, probably will not be able to put any hurt on AM either and risks being knoked out by a man who will not get tired of coming forward all night. Mayweather will either outbox margarito all night, get worn down then decisioned, or get knocked out if he decides to take this fight.
