Jack Dempsey Tito Trinidad Mike Tyson Julio Cesar Chavez Southpaw Stinger 02-16-2006, 08:19 PM Joe Frazier had the best left hook in my oppinion. Dempsey had a great left hook as well. borikua 02-16-2006, 08:20 PM Felix "Titooooo" Trinidaaaaad!! Oasis_Lad 02-16-2006, 08:20 PM definetly joe frazier El Invicto 02-16-2006, 08:21 PM Joe Frazier had the best left hook in my oppinion. Dempsey had a great left hook as well. I know Joe frazier had a great left hook but he is not a choice on the list. Undefeated 02-16-2006, 08:24 PM I think they all had great left hooks... But i chose Tito Trinidad... JMCbulls 02-16-2006, 08:31 PM i was sure frazier would b in here, and i was sure i was gunna vote for him El Invicto 02-16-2006, 08:36 PM Was anyone aware that the reason that Tyson's left hook was so deadly was because he is a naturaly left handed? Joe Frazier- also left handed, but fought orthodox. I did not put Joe Frazier on the poll bc many people, including me, believe that the best left hook in the history of boxing is Joe's(the poll would have been no contest). RockyMarcianofan00 02-16-2006, 08:54 PM Frazier, if not frazier, oo between dempsey and tyson, well i'll go with tyson cause he's converted southpaw ________ a00SpicyAlicia (http://www.girlcamfriend.com/cam/a00SpicyAlicia/) sleazyfellow 02-16-2006, 11:15 PM frazier, but since hes not in the poll prolly either tyson r dempsy, also patterson had a nice left hook, although he threw it crazy when he had sumone hurt WindUpMerchant 02-16-2006, 11:51 PM Frazier had a faster hook then Ali's left jab, IMO. Easily Frazier. Dempsey 1919 02-17-2006, 12:40 AM To me these all of these fighters have wonderful left hooks, which one had the best? Jack Dempsey Tito Trinidad Mike Tyson Julio Cesar Chavez how could you leave out joe frazier in this poll? he had by far the deadliest left hook in the history of boxing. Dempsey 1919 02-17-2006, 12:43 AM Was anyone aware that the reason that Tyson's left hook was so deadly was because he is a naturaly left handed? Joe Frazier- also left handed, but fought orthodox. WindUpMerchant 02-17-2006, 01:24 AM Are you guys all idiots or something? Gerry Cooney ring a bell? cple 02-17-2006, 01:41 AM Frazier's is probably the most famous left-hook, and possibly the most famous single punch in history. It was a thing of beauty. And boy did he throw a lot of them. However, it can be argued that Sonny Liston possessed the best left hook in heavyweight history. He didn't use it as often as Frazier, but it was probably more devastating. Bob Foster also had a KILLER left hook. Pipino Cuevas' left hook could knock down a brick wall. And of course, Ray Robinson's was poetry in motion. MEXICAN_PRIDE 02-17-2006, 02:01 AM That Trinidad left-hook was poetry in motion. Although this fighter does not belong in the upper crust of boxing society his left hook is consistently on-target to the liver... "IRISH" MICKEY WARD!!! bigsmoothh 02-17-2006, 02:05 AM That Trinidad left-hook was poetry in motion. Although this fighter does not belong in the upper crust of boxing society his left hook is consistently on-target to the liver... "IRISH" MICKEY WARD!!! 100% agree with you. jc chavez body hook was also brutal. Two Fisted Piston 02-17-2006, 06:43 AM ^^^AGREED about JCC and Micky Oscar De La Hoya has a ****in great left hook As did Hopkins But Joe Fraizer had the best coz 90% of the punches he threw was the left Hook Yaman 02-17-2006, 09:56 AM Joe Frazier probably of all time. Tyson really swinged a left hook in there. It was awesome. He knocked Eddie Richardson out with a FraZier like left hook. Best left hook i've ever seen. And 13 years later, he knocked down Lou Savarse in a matter of seconds with also one of the best left hooks ever imo. Dempsey's was short and powerfull. It was great to see a little guy throw it so quickly. By far the fastest left hook ever imo. jabsRstiff 02-17-2006, 10:26 AM Frazier's is probably the most famous left-hook, and possibly the most famous single punch in history. It was a thing of beauty. El Guapo 02-17-2006, 12:48 PM wheres smokin joe? wheres left hook lacy? anyway i only seen tyson and jack....so jack jabsRstiff 02-17-2006, 01:05 PM wheres smokin joe? wheres left hook lacy? anyway i only seen tyson and jack....so jack Lacy's nickname may be "Left Hook"....but he is actually a better puncher with his overhand right & right uppercut, than with his left hook. His left hook, is nothing special. Dempsey 1919 02-17-2006, 01:19 PM Frazier had a faster hook then Ali's left jab, IMO. Easily Frazier. you are an idiot. borikua 02-17-2006, 01:27 PM Lacy's nickname may be "Left Hook"....but he is actually a better puncher with his overhand right & right uppercut, than with his left hook. His left hook, is nothing special. Yeah, I think that he pick that nickname only cuz it sounds good with his name... Skydog 02-18-2006, 12:15 AM Dempsey's left hook might just be as good as Joe's. But it nowhere near was dramatic and it didn't cause as much damage. Joe's first, Dempsey at a VERY CLOSE second. crazyjames 02-18-2006, 01:02 PM You'll left out delahoya. He has a beautiful left hook. blockhead 02-18-2006, 01:04 PM ray robinson Southpaw Stinger 02-18-2006, 01:23 PM Henry Cooper had a great left hook. supaduck 02-18-2006, 02:29 PM Henry Cooper, oh yes, he had a powerful, powerful left hook. He floored Ali with it! He had a decent record.. Not an all time great but a very good and noteworthy fighter. I loved the fight with Joe Erskine with Joe hanging over the ropes and the first/second round knockdown then Erskine slipped. He had some great fights :P Da Iceman 02-22-2006, 09:39 AM joe frazier had a hard ass left hook, so did patterson , he knocked ingo out cold with it Dynamite76 02-22-2006, 04:11 PM Ray Leonard Donald Curry.
