WBC president Jose Sulaiman today said that if 154lb titlist Winky Wright challenges Felix Trinidad, he will be stripped of his WBC title. Wright has been ordered to face longtime interim champion Francisco Castillejo. If Winky moves ahead with the Trinidad fight, Castillejo will be declared the undisputed WBC super welterweight champion and have to defend that title at the soonest possible time against a mandatory challenger to be designated by the WBC Board of Governors.

****ing politics. That's why we need just one belt and a federal boxing commission.

We need NO more federal agencies. They can't effectively run ANYTHING!
And boxing is world-wide, Sparky!

Winky is so boring to watch...He is a good fighter and seems to win, but his fights are boring...No power!

Winky should follow Glen Johnson and Tarver's example screw the belt. Get the money...we know who the real champ is....at least until Tito knocks him the f#ck out...lmao.:)

i dont really pay attention to who has what belts well i do but i dont judge them on that

The people only care who fights who not for the belts,i dont care Hopkins has all 4 belts i think he's good!

We all know if Winky beats Tito he will be great if he beats Tito but he might not have those silly belts but we'll know who the good fighter is.

No worries. Belts don't seem to be that important nowadays...Just take a look at how much Erik & Manny are going to earn for a non-belt megafight in March. And its on HBO PPV !

Damn alphabelts. I bet you the WBC would never strip Hopkins, Morales, among others. They seem to be playing favoritism lately. If only more people understand that belt(s) don't mean crap no more sometimes.

The best should fight the best, always. Who cares about belts. Belts don't make the fight. The fighters do! Example (Gatti vs Ward 1,2,3)
