View Full Version : If Wlad loses to Byrd, shouldn't he just retire?
BLOODSHED 02-12-2006, 01:20 PM I think so, but the HBO hype machine will give his career another breath of fresh air?
I think Wlad will lose, but since it's in biased ass Germany Wlad will get the decision.
I'm waiting for what Mike Tyson Jr will say about Wladimir Roidko.

I 100% Agree with you, Byrd will Outbox Wlad and use his defensive skills, but lose a decision since its in germany, but you never know what happens! we will have to wait and see.
gattifan24 02-12-2006, 01:51 PM Byrds skills? Are those the same ones that got him dropped and annihilated the last time he fought Wlad? I voted yes but its not gonna happen
BLOODSHED 02-12-2006, 01:52 PM That was a pre-Corrie Sander Klitschko that beat him.

ChrististheAnswer2 02-12-2006, 01:52 PM Wlad won't lose to Byrd unfortuneately but if he does than yes he should just give up the sport. Byrd will go out on his shield though, hes gonna give all he has left.
Mr. Ryan 02-12-2006, 02:12 PM I personally cant forsee Byrd winning this fight, or even being competitive. Lets remember that Byrd is on the slide, is not as fast as he used to be. No upper tier fighter should be in any kind of closeness with Jameel McCline. But if Wladmir finds a way to blow an easy title shot, yeah hes finished. He should never put on gloves again after that.

Ya know someone got banned for making 5 threads a day about the same subject. Just get some professional help. Your hatred is screwin up your judgement. Or you might end up like the guy in my avatar
Truth 02-12-2006, 03:38 PM Someone as big as Wlad should be able to crush Byrd. Byrd isn't as good as he once was, so if Wlad loses he should consider retirement.
kayjay 02-12-2006, 03:44 PM Why are people so obsessed with retiring this guy? If he loses it would be terrible for his career, but there is no reason he shouldn't continue to fight as a fringe contender, then veteran stepping stone like lots of other mediocres. Wouldn't you have more fun watching him get knocked out by other fighers coming up the ranks? Plus he is always exciting because he is always capable of winning a tough fight and losing an easy one.

Exactly, if I were as big as Wlad, I wouldn't be afraid of anything or anybody. How can this guy lose any fights, hes just too friggin big.
catskills23 02-12-2006, 03:54 PM i hope byrd wins .

or he might end up with a big fat red k bar like yours.
MetalVomit 02-12-2006, 04:07 PM If he lost a decision and didnt get embarrassed, I'd say "give it one more shot", if he's completely outclassed, or knocked out, I'd say "retire".
LostGuy 02-12-2006, 04:19 PM i dont think so cause wlad is still young and hey its chris byrd it aint ross purrity. byrds a really good fighter so theres no shame in losing to byrd.
mECHsLAVE 02-12-2006, 05:10 PM lol dude, you are completely insane with the Klitschko threads and polls!

I know he needs to give it a rest already.
DiegoFuego 02-12-2006, 05:47 PM Do any of you seriously think Byrd will win or even deserve the decision? Wlad will annihilate him. I don't see how anyone can think this fight will be close personally.
The Fix 02-12-2006, 06:09 PM wlad aint losing this fight, byrd has no power at all. even wlads fragile chin will hold up against byrd, the only way i see wlad losing this fight is if he punches himself out.

That's my thoughts. Wlad isn't too old and in this mediocre heavyweight division he can still win some decent fights. Not time for him to hang up the gloves yet.
E=MC2 02-12-2006, 08:42 PM Why retire, if he can keep making millions?
