According to some German newspapers the WBC title bout between Vitali Klitschko and Danny Williams is almost certainly canceled since the Klitschkos are still in a lawsuit with their (former) promoter Peter Kohl.

The long awaited decision of the court is dated for November. Until than there's no security whatsoever for the Klitschkos that Vitali (if he fought Williams) would not lose millions due to a regress lawsuit of Universum Boxing Promotions and Kohl.

Once again politics outside of the squared circle seem to be more important then the sport itself. This way boxing does not only lose lots of fans but a lot of credibility as well. Vitali has to step in the ring and prove that he's woth the title he's holding. He's been a busy fighter in recent years. Hopefully he'll continue where he once started.

Well "those damn Krauts" as you call us gave him the chance to become what he's now, financed his early career and earned him a lot of money. Personally I don't like the position of Universum either but it's all about money in boxing and that's the same anywere around the world. he does tend to arm punch sometimes but I wouldnt wrtie off his power that easily.

It should be a good fight. Williams can be awkward. Klit may have trouble with that.

Man, i hope its BS that they canceled fight. it was supposed to be the only really good HW fight so far. And DW would be the heavy underdog in that fight. i think its gonna be more of a V. Klit vs L. Donald fight with Vitaly scoring an early TKO or a Late KO

My reason for picking Vitaly is that Williams beside beating an old one legged man did nothing to convince me we can fight on a championship level. His power is greatly overrated( took more than 20 power punches to put down an injured Tyson). His skill is also is nothing remarkable judging from his last fight. Vitaly on the other hand has proven that he got power(33 ko's out of 34 victories) He is got pretty good speed for sombody of his size I mean he got more tools that DW but this year proved that anything can happen in the world of boxing and even though i am a Klit fan I would not be surprised if he losses.

hi dude sorry Ive not been about lately couldnt get into the site for a while, my mate spoke to Jimmy mac at the weekend and Williams camp are optimistic it will all go aahead, dec 11th Maddy garden.

The only people Ive heard that the fight is "off" is from our german cousins, but they would probably hear the other side of the story as it were from the promoters.

Bit like the brits hear when Frank W is involved in something so fair call. My guess is though the fight will happen despite the ex promoters protestations.
