IMHO no one can beat Vitali at the moment.
In order of chances.
1. Brewster - has the strength to hang with him, and hussle him. But overall Vitali should outpoint him.
2. Byrd has slowed slightly and is liable to get caught and KO
3. Rahman has NO LEGS, he can't take a big punch, he'll get KO by Vitali, and thats worth betting on BIG.
4. Mcline has no stamina, KO <5
5. Ruiz doesn't have the skills to get to him, and i question his chin.
6. Golta, is not busy enough to out hussle him.
7. Toney is not going to be effective against BIG high class HW. You don't roll your shoulder to a 250lbs HW and take right hands to the head. It may work against MW, or light hitting cruiserweights but not the big boys.
8. Tyson is done (a prime tyson would have beaten him)
9. Lewis even if comes back would struggle because of the layoff.
have i missed anyone?

your a dam joke. Tyson aint
done by a longshot. get him
off your dam list. he will
knock vitali out.
scramwarrior 01-19-2005, 11:52 PM I think the only chance VK has of losing right now is if Lennox Lewis comes back and gets in great shape to fight. Even then, it would be very interesting to see who wins.
I doubt Brewster would even give VK a run for his money, considering that Brewster only has the title because Wladimir was falling on his face dead-tired. Wladimir was actually whippin the **** out of him.

What are you, drunk? Tyson has lost basically every fight for the last half-decade, against lower-level competition no less. He is done and is only living off of his name right now. He doesn't even belong in the same ring with a champion anymore.

And to add insult to Junior, the tyson story that camE out last week about training in Florida is suspect at best.
I've spoken to another leading website that hasn't reported the story because they believe it to be false????
Tyson can still put punches together as recent as July against williams, but here is the key now - HE DOESN'T WANT TO TAKE SHOTS ANYMORE!

Well than I guess he better retire, because right now all he does is take shots. And get beat.
Floydmayweather 01-20-2005, 12:03 AM If Tyson gets in decent shape he always has a chance its unlikely but one big punch could put Vitali or any other heavyweight to sleep.
scramwarrior 01-20-2005, 12:05 AM Forgive me if I don't take offence since it is a "retard" that is trying to call me one. And I'm not just talking about his fight against Danny Williams. This guy has only won against softies since he got out of prison. Try thinking before you attempt to insult someone because of something you obviously know nothing about you damn Tyson nuthugger. I guess when he said "I'll **** you till you love me" he was talking about you.

Torino 01-20-2005, 01:16 AM OK........... well I guess I'll try to get back on topic.
The Lennox Lewis theory was that both the Klitschkos, Vitali and Wladimir, liked to use their height, size, and European style to control their fights from the outside. It is that style and size advantage that elevated the brothers to the top of the heavyweight division.
Lennox Lewis's solution to both the klitschkos style was to charge them and keep pressure on them until they break. This approach seems to have contributed to the down fall of Wladimir from the top of the division and everyone will fight him that way until he figures it out.
Vitali on the other hand has proven to have better defensive skills than his harder punching younger brother. He easily seems to lean back away from punches and diminish their power. Lennox's charge them theory hasn't worked on Vitali.
So Vitali prefers to control the fight from the outside, but has proven to be effective against the charging, inside boxing style as well. I think the boxer with the best chance might be the taller jabbing type setting up the big punches. Beat him at his own game. The problem with this is, not many boxers are as tall or taller than Vitali.
You can argue that a lot of previous champions could have beaten him in their prime, and that's probably true, but I don't think any previous champion can beat him in their current aged condition, or any of the other three current champions. Someone will probably catch him someday, but don't be suprised if he's champion for a while.
paulmmv 01-20-2005, 01:49 AM right now no heavyweight alive could beat him if tyson ended up fighting vitali tyson would end up his punching bag if lennox lewis cameback he would be in his fortys and to slow for a much yonger opp
so right now vitali is unbeatable

I don't think i've ever seen such a fanatic before in my life. This guy is worse than the pacman and tito fans combined
Soundtraveler 01-20-2005, 05:31 AM I asked my friend "The Black Rhino" and he said he hasn't seen Tyson at the gym.
As for Vitali being unbeatable - they don't make such a fighter, and do not forget that he isn't that skilled to begin with, he lacks in many aspects of the game. He just happens to be bigger than everyone else, size will only get you so far, as we all saw, Lewis didn't even train for Vitali and he got the job done, and yes, he would have beaten Vitali if they didn't stop the fight. Vitali is lucky they didn't stop iy a couple of rounds sooner...
Soundtraveler 01-20-2005, 05:37 AM As for Tyson beating Vitali at this point in his career -- dream on...
TheGreat1 01-20-2005, 06:28 AM if brewster would let his hands go, he could beat VK
tri4ben2 01-20-2005, 08:06 AM if brewster would let his hands go, he could beat VK
What has Brewster done to make you think that? Was it the way that he got killed by Wlad before Wlad fell down? Was it the way he nearly got killed in the 8th round against Kali Meehan and won a gift decision?
VK is simply the betting favorite against every heavyweight currently out there. He is beatable and he doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence when he is out there. Even though I think he won every minute of every round against Sanders and Williams, I was never relaxed about the fight until after they were stopped.
I predict in the next year or two, someone will get VK on a bad day and he will be stopped. However, as a boxer, he is going to be around for a while.

1. Brewster is a crap champion who would get stopped by Vitali very quickly.
2. Byrd would hang to the distance and would stand a decent chance of out pointing him out of todays fighters.
3. Rahman has the power to hurt Vitali and has the tricky skills on a good day to give him trouble. But his style is too laid back which i think would let him down.
4. McCline could hurt him but it would only be a matter of time before he lost his fighting spirit.
5. Ruiz would get stopped, no chance he could win a round against Vitali. Althought if he got lucky like he did with Fres i would laugh so much.
6. Golota could make it a messy fight but i think he would get frustrated by Vitali. His patience would be a factor whether he performed well or not.
7. Toney has the skills to beat him but the physical disadvantage would be a factor in this fight. I think pride would take Toney the distance and maybe a win as this man hold no fear. Saying that it would be a test to see how Toney copes with a Ironfist on his head.
8. Tyson would get beat by Vitali but Vitali would still have to respect his power until he knew Tyson was hurt.
9. Lennox would have beat Vitali if they would have had another fight straight away. After a layoff i am not sure at all although i'd always back my feloow countryman.
