News Years has barely past and my one resolution and wish for my b-day cake was to lose my shyness :( No matter what i do whenever i see a girl or have a question for a teacher at school i never bother to talk to it. I know this can probably be stupid but can anyone give me advice on loosing my shyness? I see a girl looking and am not brave enough to talk. Many opputunitys have gone by and am messing them up. If someone can give me advice on lossing my shyness ill try and go for it ;)

For me the best way for you lose your shyness is to look at all those lucky bastards who have nice girls by their side. Losing shyness will be much easier than dying with jealousy :eek: :p

Here goes. The first thing you have to do, and it will take time, is to not care what other people think of you. Everybody has faults, so if someone thinks what you just said was stupid or whatever, who gives a ****! That same person is probably just as screwed up or more so that yourself. Use your sense of humor. Its a life saver. Learn what your own faults are and be able to laugh at them. So if anybody decides to point them out, You can say "yeah I know...(insert witty comment here)" Also dont look into what people are saying. Sometimes it may sound like a person is being sarcastic, but they arnt. And if they are being sarcastic see rule No 1. who gives a ****! As for girls, some may tell you to get bent, some will dig you. But guess what, the only way to find out where they stand is to talk to them. When you get older you will resent the fact that there was a girl you wanted to ask out but didnt. Plus the older most people get the less clicky they become, and not so stuck up. High School can be pure hell, but it ends, eventually. Hope this helps.

I don't know I'm shy myself and I only have 4 girlfriends. I banged 2 of the four cause my mother is strict. You see, when she learned about my sex adventures she locked me in my room so I was never able to do it with the other 2. :D

Shyness is a rare quality or characteristic in people today..dont be in such a hurry to change it. Alot of girls are attracted to shy guys (this advice from a females point of view). I'm sure you'll evuentally outgrow that anyway, but til then it does kinda make you unique! ;)

That is pretty good advice actually. Good way to be noticed too..some girls can be having a crappy day and a friendly "hello" can sometimes put a smile on her face..so, not bad elveiel ;)

Well niceness never worked out for me. What I've learned with women is that they always want a challenge, a man they can't have. So while some girls would find shyness cute and all, the overwhelming majority loves a guy with confidence. So how do you boost your moral and loose your shyness? Shawny said it best. DON'T CARE. Give a **** if they don't like you, give a **** if they think your ugly, just don't care! You can become a chick magnet overnight if you get the right mentality.
You have to think you're better than every girl you meet. That you could care less if they hook up with you or not. Youhave to realize that you'll be meeting girls left and right, whether at school or at work or whatnot. Women would always be there. They come and go. So there's no sense worrying about what ONE girl would think. Oh yah and as hot as the girl might be, there's ALWAYS someone prettier. So right then and there you can scrap that high regard for beautifull girls.
Bottom line is that you'll only gain much self confidence if you feel better about yourself. Workout, buy clothes, hang out just do stuff for YOU and not to please others. Once you get the right mindset, girls would flock like tehre's no tommorow.

I dont know how you see it but i think giving a friendly smile works better than a how u doing smile, then the girls(i think) seem to see you as a genuine guy and wanna talk. I've never been one for chat up lines, and i've still always done really well for myself. :cool:

I know what you mean about the shy guy thing, it must be refreshing for someone to be a little imtimidated because they really like you. I just think you have got to already know the girls for a shy guy to have a chance.

English schools are nothing like that, i think i'm glad in went to school here(although it would be fun beating up the jocks :p )

I think my school was a lot different to US schools, It was different gangs with a couple of tougher kids in it, there were the girls with the gangs and every so often the hardest guys from the differnet gangs would fight, nothing too serious but everyone knew their place. No bull**** about being rich or a geek.

yeah we dont got too many tweakers or kids that do hard drugs our school keeps it herbal but theres a lot of dealing.

Lots of addicteds in my school today, for example am in a project with a team right now and theres this senior who was just looking at crystal meth or cocain in the google images section instead of reseraching boring isnt it??? As for lonelyness i fell pretty much happy everyday i get home from school get to the boxing gym and get to talk to some ppl there. Anyways suppose you know someone who likes you and sits right between you how can you losee the syness there?? :confused:

Thats insane...not drug testing the athletes! :eek: That should be mandatory if only cause of what coke does to your pulse and heart rate..one of those football players, etc. could easily get on the field and get over worked (and over heated) and his heart stop on him, thanks to the coke...then the principal and the entire school board will have on hell of a mess on their hands. I put alot of the blame on the parents though; the should know what their kids are into in every way..that's pure negligence on their part! :eek: A damn shame alot of parents arent more involved with their own kids 'recreational' activities!

most parents are in a state of denial anyway, they really believe their kids are little angels who never smoke, drink, swear, have sex, commit violent crimes, or do druggs. can u blame them, i wouldn't want to think about my child (if i had one) injecting heroin into their veins and having sex for drugs...ignorance is bliss :D

Actually I can blame them..if my kid is doing any kind of dope, I'd damn sure wanna know about it so I could get her the help she needed before it killed her. Besides, that bliss is shattered when you get the ole 2-3 am phone call from the hospital or the cops, that 'bad news' phone call that means your kid is in critical condition, dead or in jail. I'd much rather be able to stem the problem before the worst happens! :eek:
