View Full Version : Zab you suck.....
semjasa 10-03-2004, 02:13 PM Ive just seen the latest tomato can Zab has beaten in the first round, Its the last Zab fight i will ever bother to see.
If all he wants to do now is pad his record and try to look sensational then fuk him.
neils7147933 10-03-2004, 03:33 PM He does that from time to time. Remember the Jamie Rangel fight that lasted about as long as this one on another King PPV? I guess I'd rather see this than sit through another 12-rounder with a Rafael Pineda caliber fighter.
The undercard to Trinidad-Mayorga was terrible. But then again, it was terrible for Williams-Tyson and Tarver-Jones II.
They know you'll buy the fight anyway so why give you anything to watch on the undercard? They can save those for free HBO & Showtime fights.
jack_the_rippuh 10-03-2004, 04:00 PM What would you rather have seen?
HomicideHank 10-03-2004, 04:06 PM It was just a 'stay busy' fight. Don't get your panties all bunched up over it.
What I find more ridiculous is ZabbaDabba's stupid-ass mouf full of metal. Dude looks like a total dork.

Wayne Braithwaite vs. Jean-Marc Mormeck was originally scheduled before Mormeck got hurt. This would have been a good fight. Apparently getting a replacement title fight was held in lesser regard than watching a Travis Simms fight. .
Judah could fight many credible opponents at 147 - if he wants a sacrificial lamb, fine, but don't put it on a three-fight 50 dollar card.
HBO should tape additional undercards prior to the televised ones in case of this happening or televise the additional undercard that will sometimes come out (when Jantuah won in 30 seconds on the DLH-Hopkins card, there was another fight that was sent to the ring for the live fans that HBO didn't televise so that they could hype the main event some more and talk about DLH's hand)
Last night, they could have shown another fight when this one ended in such a quick KO. There were 10 fights in all that occurred in that ring.

Explosivo 10-03-2004, 05:17 PM Yea what the hell was the point of that fight? Zab beat the **** out of some guy from an Indian reservation in north dakota. Wow. Your sweet Zab. That fight was lame. They could have at least got someone in there who could fight.
Sir_Jose 10-03-2004, 05:42 PM King just wants to showcase Zab and get him some publicity.
I got no problem with a guy staying busy
NichtGeflechten 10-03-2004, 05:47 PM They should match Zabdiel against a drunk landscaper with a two-stroke weed whacker next time.....

truthfully, zab has been in the ring with guys who are decent, i remember him taking fights with Kostya/Spinks, so its not like hes pulling a ricky hatton, everyone deserves a tuneup fight now and then, i agree.

when your buying a PPV your not buying the undercard, you are buying the actual main event, who the hell complains about undercards?

When a three-card fight that you have to pay for goes head-to-head with a free three-card fight, the promoters of the PPV should make sure the PPV is better than the free fight.
Top to bottom, Showtime's fights were better than HBO PPV's. OF course, Tito-Mayorga was light years ahead of the Wlad spectacle, but the two Showtime undercards would have been a decent card in and of themselves.

Yea but you couldnt tell that from seeing him beat up the poor guy from the North Dakota Indian reservation. That was like Zab mugging a guy on the street.

but the reality is, most people are only concerned with the main events, and the undercard fights are simply filler. I know you pay for your PPV's, i do too, i do wish they had better undercards, but i also realize, that what im paying for is the main event, and as long as their is at least 1 or 2 decent undercard fights or at least a KO in those fights, im satisfied. But undercards are simply a bonus, i still think you are paying for the main event, and that promoters have to save SOMETHING for the free fights they show on HBO/Showtime
