Your right. But I have a strange feeling he might just have the same impact Mourinho did at Chelsea and win the title in the same year. Also Murrey has said there will be funds available, it will be interesting to see who he gets in. I'll keep an eye out on the odds of Rangers winning the SPL next season. Might be worth a flutter. I personally dont rate Strachan. He isn't really big enough to manage Celtic.

Hmm. Not really. Porto never had money yet he took them to a Champions League and Uefa trophy. Over the years every Newcastle Utd manager has been given millions to spend without any success.

But anyway, you guys wont win the SPL next season (thats if the Frenchman does indeed come to Ibrox). I'm confident of that. Trust me. I predicted Wigan wont be relegated this season and look at them now, flying in the league and in a cup final.

I dont know. I think players like Deco and Maniche only came to attention because of Portos success. They were not household names prior to that and wouldn't certainly have cost much. Financially, I dont think Porto can ever compete with Celtic or Rangers. Its just no one big (except Larsson) wants to play in the SPL.

the english league is competitive inside & outside the division.
if a trophy is going in scottish footballs direction its either

We lost to Newcastle, only some poor finishing let us down and despite a rather poor first half we should have won. Unlucky getting 3 injuries in that match as well, especially the injury to Bialkowski. Should have had a penalty for a push on ALexander Ostlund as well. No complaints about Newcastle's goal though, it was almost definately on-side and a good call from the linesman.

i think the other teams players and fans will enjoy having
something to play/cheer for other than another win in a

AC Milan - love the triangles, ball possession. Beautiful to watch,

Barca - love the free flowing style with both fullbacks attacking from the flanks. Add in Messi, Eto'o, Ronaldhino, Tiago, and you have a brilliant offensive arsenal. Would rather watch them over counterattacking bore-me-to-death Chelsea anyday of the week.

i dont know i think we would do well in a british league
i just think money should be spread around more so the smaller clubs can compete and therfore we would not have to leave
as a more competitive league is more excititng and would therefore generate more money and interest

doubt it will happen though

I know what you are saying and agree, your right though it would never happen, I'd love to see Celtic, Rangers and perhaps one or two other teams playing along side the English clubs, not sure how well they would do to be honest, I imagine at least top half probably top six, dont think they would break the top four at least at this stage, but with a club the size of Celtic I'm sure they would always be contenders or there abouts!

busy past few days. i have a few questions since i missed some ****

1. Who hurt the young lad from Arsenal, i believe his name was diabou?
i heard this guy got away with no discipline from the FA, which is bull**** considering luis garcia committed a minor infraction and is out of the FA Cup final.

2. If you are Arsenal fans, do you think Wenger should have played Henry at least against Tottenham? If they dont win the Champs League, i think they will be stuck in the UEFA cup while openining a 600 million dollar new stadium.

3. Steve Mcclaren will not be a success as a england manager. Fact or fiction?

Also congrats s****** or whatever you call yourself now. I listened to the Rovers match when they clinched European Football. Quality against the Chelsea cunts is always good

1. The 'tackle' was by Dan Smith, it was certainly a straight red in my book, I have seen worse but he had his studs up and went over the ball, the laws state straight red.

2. Agreed strange decision not to play Henry but hindsight is a great thing, the Arsenal squad is good enough to win a game like that without Henry but why take the chance, I think it was the possibility of the clubs first Champions League final, regardless of their league position this season this could be historic for the club. (Getting a bit boring for my boys though with 5 wins!)

3. I think McClaren is the best available to be honest, I would have liked O'Neil personally but some say he is overrated (Did a good job with Leicester and Celtic but Strachen has done equally as well!)
At least he is English, he is a great coach and has done well this season with Middlesbrough, Eufa Cup Final and FA Cup semi final for a club like that is extraordinary so.... lets see.

When is new fifa game coming out? I got FIFA 06, hot game but hard. I also don't like that its got in managers mode you can't pick the good teams right away. I just played tournament mode and picked Jevenus with Ibrahimovich and Del Pierro. Didn't do any roster updates, Ibrahimovich with AC Milan now. I'm probably going to pick Chelsea with my boy Shevchenko and use all their money to get some more players.

I hope they imporve the managers mode, or at least make like espn manager game, but one that you can actually play a game in not just watch...

Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Thomas Gravesen will make celtic a complete team this season plus the fact we have shaun malony and bobo balde coming back

i see the treble for us this year and hopefully a quarter final champions league spot ( at least )

sadly we were beaten

but after most of the nation was saying we would be romped 5 or 6
nil it aint such a bad result

but i still feel we were hard done by

that was the worst penalty decision i have seen in all my years of watching football

Agreed mate, never a penalty (not the first at Old Trafford though)

Celtic did well, I think you will qualify!

Celtic did well, I think you will qualify!

if we play like that and if bobo balde comes back to help that dodgy defence i think we could definetly beat benfica and copehagen and hopefully get a result at celtic park against man utd

the tournament is off to a flier

with

barcelona
roma
bayern munich
and ac milan all playing some great football

it's gonna be tough for any teams who make it past the group stages
