If Nard-Eastman is for the WBC belt only...then it isn't his 20th defense cuz it aint the IBF title...right?

very good point, and a good way to get hopkins to put his titles on the line

Maybe they want the 20th to be against Tito in a rematch

If you want to really get technical Hopkins has a no-contest during his title reign but most people overlook that just like they overlook the loss by Chavez early in his career.

Was sent to me in an email but it looks like a real enough fight. Not sure?

Yes that was a real fight.

No it dont amtter what belt he defends. He's defending the Middleweight Championship of the World and thats all that matter.

The story behind that image is hilarious. The dude jumps on the turnbuckle cuz he thinks the fight is over, then he turns and gets his face smashed in!

U r right, but it wouldn't be his 20th "TITLE" defense...that's what I mean...if he wants it to go to the record books it does matter...

No it doesn't and he will go in the record books.

He was champion then and he is champion now. What belt is being defended is meaningless when you have them all and your reign has not been interupted.

Except for the Butler, after the fight punch debacle, I don't think I've ever seen a more bizarre situation. Hilarious!

Instead of the Executioner, maybe we should rename him "Hedge his bets" hopkins!

Fact is Hopkins is the liner champion and even if non of the belts were on the line as long as both fighters make 160 in a 12 rd contest then it is a fight for the true middleweight title.
It is his 20th defence and a silly sanctioning body technicality shouldn`t make a difference to that!

the belts dont matter, everybody knows that b-hop is undisputed, if eastman beats him im sure bernard himself would acknowledge eastman as the new undisputed champ, tht **** is politics, although it wont matter cause the exman is going to kayo the challenger anyway

Well, if Eastman wins he'll have the honor of knocking off the top p4p guy in the sport if no title
