i say action cause action can equal to alot of those

Action is normally coupled with adventure. Hardly ever do you get an action game that does not have the -adventure tagged onto it.

First person shooters are my favorite game type. That's all I play, minus the occasional sports or action/adventure game. But I only play two sports titles, being Madden and Fight Night, and only a few Action/Adventure games, being the MGS series, and occasionally the GTA series.

FPS are my favorite though, because they can be used for competition the easiest. It's probably the easiest game type to talk **** to your opponent in.

fighting games r what got me started, i played mario bros/duck hunt first but i was addicted to mike tysons punch out when i was smaller, then sf2 came out and i was a arcadefreak for a cpl of years, i choose fighting games because if u got sumone playing u, u can try out diffrent stuff on them and see how it works, lol ive been around to see ppl playing a fighting game to them really fighting they got into it so much, funny stuff...

only sports game i really like much is boxing so i didnt want to put sports

then i like storyline games with lots of stuff to do
free roaming games too like gta of course

sim games and such are fun like the sims 2 and tycoon games

id like a free roaming sims boxing game all in one
something where you can just have a life of a guy that decides to get into the sport of boxing
and you can control multiple people like why restrict it to just boxers
maybe u got a guy that wants to be a cut man or a guy that wants to be a trainer

or a promoter guy

and you live your life like you got bills to pay and such
maybe youve got to have another job at first
then you become good enough to not need a 2nd job and boxing becomes ur job

and you can run into other boxers on the street and have conversations
maybe a fight breaks out in the street

you hear a press conference of the champ is in town so you show up making noise and trying to make a name for urself

etc thatd be cool as hell

I love action RPGs and sports like Shenmue/Oblvion/Fable or PC style RPGs like Icewindale/Planescape Torment/Pool of Radiance. I'm a big NFL/NBA 2k fan I dig victorious Boxers, Winnings Eleven, Top Spin and I'm feeling the new Fight Night online as long as its not heavyweights. Other then that I like Fantasy style shooters like Enclave but those are rare. For the most part I will play any genre if it done right.

RPG's are my favorite, followed by quality shooters with a good storyline like half-life or bioshock

I like my games to be at leat 20 hours long, I dont mind multiplayer for the occasional blast, but im mainly playing a game for the story

Space RPGs/Shooters.

I've loved space games since the old Lucasarts X-Wing games, hell I used to play a text based BBS game called Trade Wars 2002 (released when 2002 was decades away lol). The ability to incorporate so many elements in modern games is just fantastic. Hell, I thought the Gummy Ships were the best part of Kingdom Hearts. The Mass Effect series is my current favorite and def has ATG status in my list. If they made a game with the Firefly universe that played like Mass Effect and was even 1/2 as good as Mass Effect I would cream my pants.

I'm still waiting on a great space MMORPG most attempts so far have fallen well short of their ambition.
