I'm sorry- but I just saw this fight and Lennox Lewis really loss against Mercer. Mercer got ripped off badly. So really Lennox wasn't even the true champ after this fight.

Closer to a draw than a clear cut win for Lewis.

Nimrod...

Did you notice that fight was only a ten-rounder ?

Do you know why ?

Because neither guy had a title.

Good hard fought close fight, but it was a clean win for Lewis. If you had Mercer winning then you were looking to give Mercer rounds.

It was a toss up fight. I think Lewis made up for it when he beat the **** out of Tyson, you remember, that 8 rd one sided beating. Ha ha, oh man, Tyson was hammered so badly, he truly is Lennox Lewis` *****!

Tyson was out of
shape for that fight. lennox can
never beat an in shape mike. that's why
lennox wouldn't let mike have any
warm up fights. because he wanted to fight a bloated
tyson. tyson came in that fight the heaviest
he ever been so that loss was not legit.
lets see lenoox beat mike when he is in shape.

isn't that a little drastic of a statement?

how can it not be a legit loss when you get knocked out????? that doesn't sound smart, man. Lewis beat Tyson and he didn't seem to have too much trouble doing it either.....I thought that Tyson did fight someone before he fought Lewis? I might be wrong though. Either way, it's Mike's job to stay in shape, so you can only blame him for not fighting at the potential we know he can. You can only blame Lewis for taking advantage of it that night and winning.

I've never seen the Lewis vs. Moorer fight, I'll check it out though.

Lewis-Mercer actually, and it's a hell of a good heavyweight fight

Isn't it funny how people interchangeably use the words lose, loss and lost on this website?

Anyway, Mike Tyson would most likely lose to LL on any night. Size differential is just too much.

firstly, lewis-mercer was a close fight that could have gone either way, i had lewis winning by one, alot of good fighters have had close fights whilst lookin too far ahead to the next one. Secondly, the excuse tyson was out of shape is bull**** because before every recent tyson fight we hear that he is in the best shape of his life and has a new found motivation (remember befroe the williams fight!!!). Finally if they met in their primes (lewis-rahman 2, Tyson- spinks) it would be a toss up, basically bescause when mike was in his prime no-one ever lasted more than 4 or 5 rounds. remember, on paper lewis is the best fighter tyson ever faced at any point of his career, only the fight came about 12 years too late for tyson and at the right time for lewis hence the one ***** making.
