Ok so I have WindowsMedia Player 10 and it sucks ass. I had no problems what so ever with my old one but the second I updated it seems I need to download a new godamn codec every other day to play something or it will tell me there was an error downloading the codec.

Does anyone know a package that has every codec that you need? I go to Freecodecs.com and have no idea what im suppossed to get.

Get the all in one pack at free codecs.

i used the ffdshow codec pack they had at freecodecs.com but it didnt work to well on my PC. I couldnt play one of my videos. So i went back to my trusty SLD Codec pack. Its not the best but it works for everything.

videolan is awesome but the interface is not as user friendly to hte not so media file savy computer user. i love it.

i just use divx and i have had no problems so far
