he had some skills in his prime but the clincher for his wackness gor me was his not fighting nigel benn
i mean if my homeboy(gerald mcclellan)got made a vegetable and took a serious beatdown i would find it in honor to go oversea's an avenge him as a true warrior and champion
which roy failed to do making excuses,,,,the sad thing is nigel was so shot and mentally unfit after that fight roy would of beat him
i could get into more reasons why rjj is wack but will not
although i did think his music video was kind of cool

he should have fought benn, if he did he would have kicked his ass, but other than that your post is wack
chingon28 01-17-2005, 12:27 PM the dude got robbed straight up in the olympics. it wouldnt have been wise for him to take a fight that he had to many emotions. he his would not have been in the fight and couldve cost him a loss.

RJJ was great fighter who's skills were uncontested during his time. No amount of bashing nor hating would diminish his accomplishments.

roy even went as far as calling him and asking for a fight but benn didnt want anything to do with roy jones. look what roy jones did to james toney....he would have beaten benn 10x's worse. benn should have lost the fight with the g-man, benn was given way to much time to recover when he was put down early.

The fight was never made, as stated in my article, due to Benn being beat by Malinga and then retired after the loss. Malinga was not a known fighter and previously knocked out by Jones.
Xecutioner 01-17-2005, 09:38 PM roy was a great fighter, i think when people go over his career after he retires and study his fights they will see that. great natural ability, its all gone now obviously. he cant see anything coming anymore. he needs to retire asap
gustang1969 01-17-2005, 10:12 PM i like roy jones before i still do just that he lost all his last fights damn those two straight knockouts were embarrassing him after that tarver knockout i thgout that was just a lucky shot but damn after the road warrior put him on his back i was stunned i think he is retired now but hey roy jones was tight before last year huh
