Okay, this forum comes across to me as one that is littered with nuthuggers and haters, but does have some very good posters. Regarding the Pacman-Morales discussion that has been going on since the fight, both camps are taking ridiculously biased views - I may have been slightly biased at times too, maybe - and it is only making the forum look bad.

The bottom line is - Manny Pacqiao stopped Erik Morales in the tenth round. There is no denying this.

Now, some Pacquiao fans are going to the extreme of calling Morales a ***** etc. Some are showing nothing but pure disrespect for him. Let me say this: Erik Morales is a warrior in every sense of the word, and has given to fight fans more than any other fighter since... God knows. His fights are always exciting, and seeing his heart and determination in the ring, brings an emotion to the viewing for alot of fight fans. So drop the disrespect, and show some damn class.

I have nothing but respect for Pacquiao, he too is a warrior. He is a very exciting fighter, and doesn't know how to quit. He is amazing. And he beat my man fair and square.

Another thing - nuthugging Pac fans are screaming about the bias and nuthuggery of Morales fans, because they are making "excuses" for the loss. Now, I think there possibly could be plausible FACTORS, not excuses, FACTORS - in this fight. Namely:
Weight Drain - Morales said he struggled to make 130, which MAY have contributed to losing his legs. But I know for a fact it was the strategy formulated by Roach, and executed by Pacquiao that destroyed Morales' body, and took his legs from him.

Too many wars: I think this is a contributing factor. Morales is only 29 years old, should be the prime of his career, or just past it. But - over the years, Morales has been fighting since he was 16 (?), and has had over 50 fights - and anyone who has followed his career knows, the vast majority of which have been wars. Morales takes his Mexican pride into the ring with him, and probably takes more shots than he dishes out. Emmanuel Steward constantly emphasised throughout the fight, "Morales' wars are catching up with him". He fights war after war after war, within 4-5 months of each other.

In saying this ^ - I would like to point out again, I strongly believe and acknowlege it was Pacquiao who made Morales look old with the punishment he dished out, yet I think the wars slightly contributed.

Also - I strongly believe, and probably will not sway in my belief - that it was undoubtedly the body shots that made Morales fall. He took absolute bombs to the head, but he took them like Erik Morales. He kept coming and kept fighting. All in all - stop the nuthugging, stop the hating and disrespecting. What we witnessed last week, was one of the greatest fights in recent times, and maybe even of all time. We had two amazing warriors, with a never-say-die attitude going hell-for-leather in the ring. Both men left a part of them in the ring I believe, and by god I have nothing but respect for what they gave us, and always have given us.

Erik said before the fight that he is 100% percent fit and ready to fight Pac, no mention of his struggle to make weight. In fact, I think he started to train for this fight much earlier than Pac.

What's the difference with Pac? He started boxing a year younger than Erik and has only a few fights less, and only a couple of years younger? I don't believe Morales is washed up, maybe he looked washed up after this fight because of Manny, but in no way can this be considered a factor before it.

Actually, I picked Morales by decision in the first fight. In the second - I said, "My heart says Morales, but my head says Pac by decision." I went with my heart, and my head was proven correct. I saw the adjustments Pac made in his previous fight, especially with the right hand. You got owned buddy.

Castillo vs Floyd - Castillo won the first fight on my card, 7-5 from memory. Floyd dominated the second. Floyd is THE best fighter in the world, and seems untouchable. Yet Castillo arguably beat him. You shot yourself in the foot there.
