Manny Pacquiao or Prince Naseem Hamed…? Discuss please! Naz , maybe not now but in his prime :D Southpaw Stinger 01-26-2006, 12:31 PM Pac! The mans a machine. But could rust under pressure.... LS-Injection 01-26-2006, 12:43 PM Personally i don't know… RAESAAD 01-26-2006, 12:46 PM I think Pac probably would have pulled this one off but it sure would have or may even be it Hamed comes back fun to watch someday. jabsRstiff 01-26-2006, 01:00 PM Pac has proven himself against incredible competition. Naseem Hamed proved jack shit. He flopped in his biggest fight. I don't see Pacquiao struggling with guys like Paul Ingle & Augie Sanchez, the way Naseem did. He'd have destroyed those guys. I'm going with the proven fighter, that's Pac. Many will pick Hamed, because they see his power being the factor against someone as aggressive as Pacquiao. Hamed didn't KO everyone he hit....so I wouldn't assume he KO's someone as tough & excellent as Pacquiao. Undefeated 01-26-2006, 01:12 PM I was waiting for this thread...HAHA My money would go with Pac....on a 10th round KO... hammed i dont know....i never liked him..he was to cocky and on top of that he didnt impress me when he fought LS-Injection 01-26-2006, 01:16 PM I voted for naseem, even though i'm a very nig pac fan i htink that the prince had speed with power as just a bit more than pac though… Undefeated 01-26-2006, 01:21 PM Pac would dance around naseem and make him eat pacquiao lefts!! oldgringo 01-26-2006, 01:28 PM Pac has proven himself against incredible competition. Balance being the first. Both guys have funny balance issues, and both guys have enough power to capitalize on those issues and put the other guy on the canvas. I don't think either guy is KOed in this fight. I don't think I've ever seen Hamed legitimately hurt in his career from the handful of fights I've seen of him. Dropped and stunned, sure...but never hurt. He liked when fighters came to him so he could throw those left hand counter bombs using his reflexes and such. Pacquiao is entirely hittable, although his defense looked a lot better in the second Morales bout. You're right, not everyone he hit (hamed) was KOed. I don't know how Hamed would deal with Pacquiao's straight shots up the gut. We only saw Hamed completely exposed against Barrera, and Barrera BOXED cautiously and picked his spots correctly. Pacquiao at 126 was a different fighter than he is now however. All in all I'd have to say that I'd favor Pacquiao, but then again we never Hamed matched up with a guy like him. It'd be an interesting fight for real though. BlueBlazer 01-27-2006, 01:00 AM HBO Hamed - reduced to a punchers chance against Morales, Barrera or Pac. He was awful. But Hamed in his prime (1995) would of anilihated Morales, Barrera and Pac. He was on another planet. JaNnO 01-27-2006, 01:12 AM Defintely Pac...although Naz would give him some troubles being a naturally bigger fighter with longer reach and has his own haymaker and throws combination from awkward angle. I give Pac an edge because of Pac's speed, stamina and being relentless -- not to mention that his right hooks, uppercuts and body shots are lethal weapon that would confuse Naz that will set up the straight left. Naz doesn't have good balance too which can be exploited by Pac to his favor. Pac by late round TKO. JOM'S 01-27-2006, 05:55 AM although the Prince has a very BIG PUNCHER's CHANCE... Prime for Prime I will say no. we all have seen Naz Prime, Pac now has reached his Physical Prime but is still improving as figther and who knows how better he can get... vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
