Air car (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=509&e=1&u=/ap/france_air_car)

What do you guys think of it and would you buy one?

When I was in Amsterdam on er, um, business, they had little Mercedes clown cars like that but they were gas-powered.

I won't be buying any alternative to the internal combustion engine anytime soon. That's not to say I wouldn't like to see us reduce our dependence on foreign oil, but the auto companies need to come out with a solid long-term plan to work in new autos like this air-powered car (or any other hybrid, fuel cell, etc.) before I'll make that step to buy one..

that car is awesome for inner city travelling, it still requires electricity though so unless they use renewable sources of power it will still pollute in some way.
It aint bad i would have that and an ordinary car if i wanted to go further (if i had the money of course )

Sorry, but they would have to outlaw all the older steel bodied cars before I would risk it, and I like the Steel bodied cars too much to ever support their extinction. By the way, what does the pump force air through? Is it a combustion engine setup minus the ignition and fuel delivery system?

Besides, ten grand is too much to pay for something as undesireable as that thing from a performance standpoint, and imagine your electric bill, jeez.

Kinda sounds that way. I wonder what pressure the air is kept at, and what size the tank is. Doesn't sound the safest to me. Especially when that cougar ass ends it.

For inner city traveling it would be great. Especially in crowded city centers like the one I live in. So crowded here that people park anywhere they damn please. Even on the pedestrian curb.
