I just saw the fight and first i would like to congratulate all Manny Pacquiao fans, the guy is a real stand up guy and ive always been a fan of his.

I just wanted to say Morales went out like the true warrior he is. He took on none but the best at an astounding pace for almost 10 years straight! He put up a fight till the end, he didnt just go down and stay there, he didnt quit in his stool. He showed why he is who he is, he was hurt, injured by his opponent, and he showed tremendous heart and determination. I think he and his fans can keep theirs head up even though he lost he showed huge, pride, heart, and courage.

It was an awesome fight, which can be said about almost every single fight hes ever been in.

Viva Morales!!!

Viva Morales!!!

He is a true fighter!

I like him better then marco!

That guy really brings it to a fight.

The first time you ever saw Erik walk away was in the 9th round and the audience booed its not his fault the guy hung in there he was in pain and they should show him some respect.

agreed, you know, when you think about it, i think Morales is one of the most 'taken forgranted' fighters in the sport today. People don't all realize how much punishment Pacman had to dish out before he'd go down from exhaustion and even then, you could still is the warrior Morales trying desperately to stay up. He really should be a role-model for other fighters as far as how he will take on all challengers and prove he's one of the best ever.

I thing I love about the guy is he always wnats to put on a great show. He can choose to just box his way to victory in other fights but he chooses to give the fans their money worth.

It's ridiculous the kinds of posts that I ahve seen in other forums such as "Morales is a bum and his chin was exposed". Morales is a hall of famer and even if he loses 10 more times he is still a great in my eyes

Morales is, Barrera isn't. Not unless he rematch PAC and beat him.

I agree, even here in the Philippines, our folks give Morales a lot of respect and labels him a tough Mexican with solid boxing skills. It was pretty obvious at the end of the 4th round that Morales is beat up. He's got cuts, welts, black eyes, his face looks haggard, he's gasping for air and you know that it will only be a matter of time before he falls.

I was amazed he lasted that far, I was thinking at the end of the 4th that Morales is gone by the 6th or 7th but he hang in there through the pain and beating. It was obvious that at the start of the 5th that it won't be much of a boxing match anymore but a calculated beating for Morales and still he fought on and never quit.

I admire this guy because he is fearless. A true Mexican.

I spit on Marquez and Barrera for being ******* and cowards.

Was a warrior? That he was, in bold and capital letters. Went out as one? That he did. Lived up to that label? Certainly.I agree on all counts.

the only Erik Morales fight that has not been exciting to watch in his career was against Zahir Raheem, now how many fighters can say they only had 1 boring fight in their carrers? I don't care what nobody says, im proud to be mexican and proud of El Terrible

come on man, you might be mad that barrera hasnt and might not ever fight pacman again, but you sayin barrera is not a hall of fame fighter holds no weight, it might be your opinion but if you look at barreras career, the fighters he has beaten and his acomplishments, then you will realize, whether you like it or not, that he is a first ballot hall of fame fighter, just like morales.

barrera has beaten good and great opposition over his boxing career, he is a 3 weight world champion, he could possibly be the first mexican to hold titles in 4 weight divisions, yet you say he aint a hall of fame fighter???? barrera has only lost to good or great fighters, not bums. theres no shame in that. i want barrera to rematch pacman just like you and many other people, but even if he dont, at the moment he is a legend, hall of fame fighter, and his achievements right now is better than pacmans. by the time pacmans career is over he might have the better accomplishments but right now barrera would go into the hall of fame before pacman.

*gets ready for the hate im about to recieve from pacman fans* :(

Morales without a doubt showed his heart and chin. He took so many flush power shots and even early on, yet didn't go down. Any other fighter would have been on his ass. He'll without a doubt go down in history as one of the most exciting and durable Mexican fighters in history. I don't care that he lost to Manny because he lost on his shield without a doubt. I just hope he comes back and fights somebody and provides more excitement before he's gone. I think he has afew more fights left in him.
