I couldn't agree more. Wlad cannot fight how Manny wants him to fight. Manny should be history or he should have Wlad go back to his old style.

I think he should use his brothers trainer (Fritz Sch-n--ck Well.....it's unpronounceable German anyway) and return to his European style. I don't think any American style trainer can help him.

Byrd was getting beaten and everytime he was hit, he backed up and ran around then when he was against the ropes and being hit he looked like he wanted to complain to the ref about it.
It's like with Ruiz.
The only full fight I can bare to watch is the one where Tua knocked him out.
Ruiz and Byrd are nothing to me and I cannot stand to watch them.

Wlad got knocked down by TOS, TOS is a complete bum who got KO'ed by Mesi in the first round. Can you imagine what a real top heavy would do to Wlad? Wlad is finished, I have much more respect for Vitali, he actually has a fighting heart and chin.

I'm sorry that one of your favorite fighters is being exposed for the china-chin fraud he really is...I'm really sorry about that, but its reality.


The fight was a mixed bag of sorts for Wlad. When you have a guy running from you it's hard to look good and be effective. However, he took that shot that was more of a flash knockdown and did not panick at all. With everything that has happened to him it would have been very easy for a guy who supposedly has no heart to fold up shop. He came out agressively right afterwards and was ready to slug it out. I think that bodes very well for his confidence as far as recovering from a punch. His pace was good and he would have taken TOS out in around the 9th or 10th round. The cut sucked because we would have seen Wlad go a long distance and win a fight in which he briefly touched the canvas.

He should ask for Sdunek...the problem is that Wladimir is trying to methodically think and fight (1 and 2 and 3 and 4 etc.) in the ring rather than Vitali who just tries to inflict a world of pain on his opponents. This fight was an ugly affair but one good thing I saw was anger come up out of Wladimir. That's what he needs. Steward really is in over his head with him...his corner instructions were terrible.

It's hard to look impressive against someone who all but refuses to engage in a fight, and that bull**** about coming back in the last half of the fight, is it that he didn't want to win the fight? Wlad obviously wasn't going to run empty with no pressure being put on him, and I thought Wlad fought well given the way Williamson fought. Williamson was hurt early on by those rights, and if he had come on later, Wlad would still be fresh, and would have KO'd Williamson.

Spinks was hitting Mayorga, there's a difference. Williamson was saying the knockdown round sould have been scored 10-8 or 10-7, when he basically only landed the one clean punch, and then got beat up for the rest of the round. Williamson looked nothing like he did against Mesi, either, and took some good shots. I don't have a problem with runners, but when you start saying someone looks like **** against a runner, take that into account.

After some thought on the topic and reading the posts of others, I've come to the conclusion that people are passionate about their hatred for the Klitschkos and get evil to cover up their bias.

For example, What happened after Lennox Lewis got Ko'd by McCall or Rahman? Did Tracylee, Jose, or Cita call for his retirement?

What about Tyson's loss to Douglas, Holyfield, or Lewis? Just a couple months ago some people thought he would dominate the division at 38 years old!

My point is this....... If you take away the Klitschko name and put Tyson or Lewis in its place, the anti-Wlads would feel differently. Just imagine those people calling for Lewis's retirement at 28 years old. Ludicrous right?

Once things are put into there proper perspective, it's easy to see the truth about these people. For whatever reason, they call for Wladimir Klitschko to retire. The only thing I'm sure of, is that it's got nothing to do with boxing and everything to do with their personal preference.

after reading what people have had to say about this topic, i asked my father and brother (who like diff boxers for diff reasons and are always arguing) what they thought of wlad, and both of them pretty much said the same in a nutshell

that hes got a glass chin and he looks heartless.

then i called up a female friend of mine who watched wlad get knocked out by brewster she simply stated

Looking at the Heavyweight division and its ranks of over-30 so-called luminaries, making it the oldest division in boxing today, I won't wonder if someone just declares that the Heavyweights are fighting against the Cruiserweights for the dubious distinction of being the most hohum division in the fight scene today. That a retread like James Toney can be a factor in a division's reckoning of "threats" and a Corey Sanders taking time off from playing golf could shake the standings, is testament to the lack of quality of the ranks of the division's front-runners; an utterly sad and dreary state. :( Gladly, there's the talent-laden welterweight, jr. middle, jr. welter and featherweight classes to save the day for boxing. :)

Wlad got knocked down by TOS, TOS is a complete bum who got KO'ed by Mesi in the first round. Can you imagine what a real top heavy would do to Wlad? Wlad is finished, I have much more respect for Vitali, he actually has a fighting heart and chin.

Did you even watch this fight!!! Wlad was totally off balance and wasn't even hurt!!! He even came back and made it a 10/9 round!!! TOS was taking some pretty big shots from Wlad too!!! After watching Mesi destroy TOS I was really impressed that he was withstanding these big shots!!! It was just a matter of time before Tos was KO'd though!!!

i missed the fight, but from what i've read wlad seemed to fight cautiously instead of trying to take out TOS like mesi did... punching yourself out might do that to you... it is a disappointing result though and certainly not a positive for wlad...

I am starting wonder if you post anywhere besides Klitschko threads in the nonstop boxing forum. After looking at your recent posts, the answer is an obvious no.

Right now the only person who can help Wladimir, is Wladimir. His problem is that he is fighting scared from the second that he steps in the ring. He needs to clear his mental limitations before he can take over physically...
