View Full Version : Who was tougher against Trinidad? Exciterx24 10-03-2004, 02:40 AM I will give two options. The two toughest boxers Trinidad has faced and beat. You think DLH was so tough against Trinidad? I never saw Mayorga or Vargas running at the end of a huge fight. SalvaDominicano 10-03-2004, 02:46 AM he should've had it in the bag. even if he lost the last 4 he still should've won. its was all bull**** scoring tho. Exciterx24 10-03-2004, 02:50 AM he should've had it in the bag. even if he lost the last 4 he still should've won. its was all bull**** scoring tho. That's not my point. I meant tougher because they went to to toe against Trinidad. DLH did not get into a war with him. HomicideHank 10-03-2004, 03:14 AM Vargas fought a better fight in warring with Tito, but for sheer toughness it's gotta be Mayorga. But the gap between them isn't much. NiGe2011 10-03-2004, 03:42 AM When Vargas is finally healthy again a bout with Mayorga at Jr. Middleweight (if Vargas can actually still make jr. middle) would be very entertaining I think. As for who was tougher- I think it is a toss up, the answer is Hopkins, hahaha. PRboxingfan 10-03-2004, 03:45 AM Mayorga is the best fight I've ever seen Tito in. It was competitive for the first 4 rounds but Tito's power proved to be too much. I still think he had a bad night against Hopkins and would beat him in a rematch. Apparently, so does Hopkins because he never agreed to a rematch. Memorex 10-03-2004, 07:46 PM vargas was tougher i think vargas actually hurt in the 4th round i think when he dropped tito. who knows how the fight would have gone if tito didnt low blow him like. thats why tito did it he knew he was hurt by vargas. and come on prboxingfan u know when u watched it u were scared The Fix 10-03-2004, 09:21 PM after watching the fight for the first time, mayorga was very tough against tito. mayorga has one hell of a chin  muay 10-03-2004, 10:48 PM Vargas. Gave Tito a real acid test of will, strength and courage. Except for the 1st round, El Ferroz was landing the harder shots through out and eventually KD'd Tito with a short left counter. I'm a Trinidad fan, but I gotta admit that he deliberately punched below the belt numerous times to weather El Ferroz's assault. VS. Mayorga is a very close second. Tito was never really hurt nor in serious trouble. Gotta give props to El Matador though for being such a fearless warrior. techn9ne 10-04-2004, 12:43 AM De la Hoya gave Trinidad a boxing lesson |
