View Full Version : Freitas-Raheem is close to being signed BLOODSHED 01-16-2006, 05:00 AM According to Arum on **********. I hope this one happens. It's going to be an interesting fight :boxing: The Wire 01-16-2006, 06:03 AM Freitas has come back with two wins, one was a ten round points decision then a first round knockout. It'll be interesting to see if he #can win this fight. Morales - Freitas anyone? psychopath 01-16-2006, 07:59 AM Freitas has come back with two wins, one was a ten round points decision then a first round knockout. It'll be interesting to see if he #can win this fight. Morales - Freitas anyone? Morales - Freitas? That's probably Morales' last fight if that happens. Remember that Popo was outboxing Chico during their fight until Popo got caught with a heavy bomb which slowed him down. And Remember how Morales performed against Zahir Raheem? That's going to be a good refference. :) JOM'S 01-16-2006, 11:51 AM I would love to see this zahir-popo match-up... Zab Super Judah 01-16-2006, 12:13 PM According to Arum on **********. A good matchup I think. this is going to be a big big fight. I think freitas could pull it off even with his herky jerky fighting style. After Raheem Freitas should try to get a rematch with chico DiegoFuego 01-16-2006, 12:27 PM SEXY!!!!!! I say Raheem by UD. He's too slick for guys like Freitas. But then again...Morales DID drop Raheem (glove touched the canvas in the 11th) with a good right hand. If Freitas lands flush, you gotta believe Raheem will hit the deck. jabsRstiff 01-16-2006, 12:31 PM A very, very intriguing matchup. Great matchup of styles. I must say, I'm surprised Freitas would do this fight, as he's been a reluctant fighter over the past few years. If Raheem is focused, he'll win a decision. He will definitely have to avoid Freitas' right, which is far more powerful than the Morales right. DiegoFuego 01-16-2006, 12:33 PM A very, very intriguing matchup. Great matchup of styles. Man, Chico avoided that right pretty well and he's no boxer. ****, even when Freitas tagged him, he didn't do much damage; however, I think that's because Freitas was running and hitting for 7 rounds as opposed to planting his feet and committing to his punches. He's got no reason to run from Raheem, who couldn't knock him out on his best day. I'm starting to think Freitas will put him out for a 10 count. Every guy is allowed a bad night, but I keep seeing Raheem vs Juarez in my head. I think that Freitas' power will factor big in the outcome of this fight. galois1 01-16-2006, 03:23 PM Remember that Popo was outboxing Chico during their fight until Popo got caught with a heavy bomb which slowed him down. Freitas was jumping around the ring and Chico was patiently walking him down. The fact that Freitas was winning before Chico caught up with him means nothing. I could enter the NYC marathon and outrun the winner for the first 100 yards. So what? MetalVomit 01-16-2006, 04:09 PM Sounds like a good matchup. I've only seen Raheem and Freitas fight twice each, but I'll go with Popo on this one. phallus 01-16-2006, 04:20 PM raheem is confident now, i think he's going to give freitas a boxing lesson, raheem is coming up, i don't think freitas has recovered from getting knocked the **** out by the wifebeater, although i'll be surprised if popo doesn't get a flash knockdown on raheem at some point in the fight Versastyle 01-16-2006, 04:21 PM Where has Popo been?.I havent heard anything from him since his loss to Corrales he trained in my gym for like over month. and we talked to his trainer and they said he was goin to have some low profile fights in brazil and ****. psychopath 01-16-2006, 05:52 PM Freitas was jumping around the ring and Chico was patiently walking him down. Yeah I know that means nothing, so what's your problem? Did you read the whole post and what I driving at,WISE ASS? I was mere mentioning that to be a refference in that Popo/Morales match up being mentioned. Morales is a boxer and Popo can box better so that will give people an idea and a good perception of how the fight might come out. Now learn how to read and understand before you butt in, okay? galois1 01-16-2006, 06:15 PM Yeah I know that means nothing, so what's your problem? There is no need for profanity. I did not intend to get you so upset. shemmue 01-16-2006, 06:22 PM i think this will be a great fight and it has alot of stake for both fighters...a win for popo would mean he is back in the mix of things...a win for raheem he solidifies his position with wins over morales and popo back to back ... The Fix 01-16-2006, 07:40 PM this is a good fight for zahir, he is gonna showcase his skills against popo and easily outbox him over the twelve. psychopath 01-16-2006, 07:47 PM There is no need for profanity. I did not intend to get you so upset. Okay, no problem sorry if I blew my top. You should have quoted the whole post and not just part of it. Anyway, we're cool. :) We've Got Bush 01-16-2006, 08:11 PM I would take Raheem by a ud, but Popo power could save him in this fight and get a ko. |
