Quartey has a stiffer than normal jab, I don't know if he even has what I would call 'power.' Just because he actually commits to the jab as if he were throwing the cross doesn't even put him on the same page as Tszyu when talking power. Tszyu has just plain heavy hands that hurt on the top of the head the shoulders, arms, whatever. I remember when he fought Hurtado it was the only time I think I saw a fighter getting ready to cry in the ring (well except for when McCall actually did, but ...).

Strangely enough (being such a Tszyu fan), and for possibly the first time, I have to agree with you. Quartey had very good power.

Pound for pound, I think Tszyu was a better overall puncher, but I'd rate their power as quite similar.
