I know this gets brought up from time to time but considering I watched Mosley-Oscar 2 on Tuesday and Oscar-Quartey last night-its on my mind. When you couple those fights with his Sturm fight and the Trinidad fight and the body shot in the Hopkins fight, isn't the 800 pound elephant in the room that no boxing writer will touch the fact that his big fights are perhaps beyond controversial to the point of beign suspicious? How will history treat this situation. There isn't a contemporary fighter that has had the screwjobs (both ways) this guy has had. In the end there is this question that I'd like to take a vote on: Are Oscar's fights influenced by dirty forces (be it the judges, promoters, the fighters themselves) or is his style that of which the judges have a tough time interpreting. I really think the former because in the Sturm fight especially I didn't think many of those rounds were even close. I don't start this thread as a pro-Oscar or anti-Oscar debate as a fighter but are his fight on the up and up in your opinion. thanks for reading

ive watched oscars entier carrere in the last 5 days. the reason that i think some fights are contraversial or close fights is because he always changes style. the strum fight he won simply because there was to much money to be lost. againts tito he turned in to a boxer like he was when he started his carrere.the ike fight i saw it a draw once again he was coming in with a diffrent style of boxing. so i think its just his changes that make things look closer than before. he knocks the hell out of some one then he boxers

I think without a doubt he beat Quartey.. thats just what i think. He also beat tito but i think your right about the sturm fight.

tha 10-8 round in the last fight was what made it a draw fight for him

he wont the trinidad fight.. he was very crafty and used excellent boxing skills.. i think thats the oscar well see in may.. hes going to box with RM

it was close with sweat pea.. but it was towards the end of whitakers career..

Im surprised so many of you had him beating Quartey. I had it 114-113 Ike because of the two point round 12. Otherwise I had it 7rounds to 5 scoring the two knockdown round 10-9 for Ike since he had the better round. It was close so I can see scoring it for Oscar but not the 116-112 that one judge had it as which was a joke

If all fighters had Oscar Delahoya's mentality to be GREAT our beloved sport would be all the better.

Unfortunately we have fighter after fighter who consistently maunevers their way out of tough competitive fights.
