I bought it mostly to get in shape as I am not looking to getting into actual boxing. I also bought some 12 oz. gloves to go with it. Anyway, I have been using it for about a week and my hands are getting really sore and my tendons are hurting. Should I buy some hand wraps to solve this problem? Does this happen with everyone when they first start and later it goes away? Or am I doing something wrong. Thanks for any advice.

Thats the way it started for me. First the bag, then the gym, then the sparring and then the fights!

Handwraps and proper punch technique will help you out...
If you havent done anything like boxing before then yes, you will feel a bit stiff after some of your first sessions.. this goes later. :boxing:
