The wife and I recently moved. Our new place has lower ceilings then our previous apartment making skipping impossible. The question I have is, do you get the same effects of skipping If you are going through the same motions with out actually having a rope in your hands?
thanks

Probably, but I doubt its as good as the real thing. Can you go outside and do it?

To much snow on the ground outside right now. About two feet

No, you do not get the same effect because you don't have to work on balance and timeing.

Untill the snow melts do burpees, pushups and situps,

to replace the balance work do V-sits, elevated if possible, and 1 leg squats. (Very difficult) much better for you than the jump rope anyway.
