View Full Version : how can I tell how many miles I've run?
warriorsingh84' 01-09-2006, 06:48 PM Hi, I want to start getting into the habit of doing more running, atleast 2 mile runs three times a week. I was just wondering when I go out jogging how can I tell how much of a distance I've actually run?? is there any specific way?
get in a car, drive a rout, look at the km counter

It tells you how far you ran by marking it on a map. Pretty good to plan your runs

VERSATILE2K9 01-10-2006, 04:08 PM a car is the best method. thats what I use when I run. that way u always know what u did
Scottie2Hottie 01-10-2006, 06:57 PM i actually use mapquest. just type in your house as the starting point and another house as ending point and itll tell you how many miles.

Man, that works really good. Never knew that existed.
Or get a 3000m tape roll and mark how far you went and measure it. :D

My dad says the same thing,
He runs about an hour and 30 mins, according to that g-map pedometer thing he runs 6.8 miles.

For a 45 year old man that started not to long ago i dont think thats shitty, plus he takes his time, its not like he is trying to run that distance as fast as possible. He has run it in an hour 10 before, but like i said he prefers to run the full hour 30.

yeah, i think the same thing, i used to run for around 45 min, because that's basically as much time as it takes for a 10 round fight
