big pun on shut em down remix"Yo I'm the livest ***** alive, watch me show you
I'll blow your head of your shoulders your own mother won't know you
My squad is supernatural
Don't make me blast you with a rubic capsule
My crew will capture you and trap you inside of Koopa's Castle
I turn ya soon to statue like Medusa's lookin at you
Produce the future raps
Or subtract you like dudes in math do
I'm always moving past you even when I use the bathroom
Wipe my ******* with pages straight out the book of Matthew
Im lookin at you with my third optical vision
I hop out of prison and find me a hot little tropical woman
Now I'm locked in position ready to rock with conviction
chewbaca's descendants blasting you with cosmical weapons
You might as well listen cuz you out of suggestions
Tied up submission of you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen
Peace to Onyx I miss them for they knowledge and wisdom
Pay homage and listen to hip-hop's newest and most volatle addition."

Album: sample Greatest Hits Song: Changes(Come on, come on)
I see no changes, wake up in the morning and I ask myself
Is life worth living, or should I blast myself
I'm tired of being poor, and even worse I'm black
my stomach hurts, so I'm looking for a purse to snatch
Cops give a damn about a negro
pull a trigger, kill a ******, he's a hero
Givin back to the kids, who the hell cares
one less hungry mouth on the welfare
first ship them dope, let them deal to brothers
give them guns, step back and watch them kill each other
It's time to fight back, that's what Huey said
2 shots in the dark, now Huey's dead
I got love for my brothers
but we can never go nowhere unless we share with each other
we gotta start makin changes learn to see me as a brother instead of 2 distant strangers and that's how it's supposed be
how can you tell them take a brother if he's close to me
I'd love to go back to when we played as kids but things change, and that's the way it is
come on, come on that's just the way it is
things will never be the same
that's just the way it is, ahh yeah

It's been a while since a new ***** came tight like this
Ya man, he aight, but he ain't quite like this
*****s is feelin' it
The Benz pullin up on the set (uh huh)
Me jumpin out 30 tho on my neck (uh huh uh huh)
And since you said it was nothin' to sweat (what)
That you was outta line so here's what you get
A verbal ass kickin'
Jesus Christ sent me to test ya

I let my tape rock 'til my tape popped
Smokin' weed and bamboo, sippin' on private stock
Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack
With the hat to match
Remember Rappin' Duke, duh-ha, duh-ha
You never thought that hip hop would take it this far

It ain't hard to rhyme - I do it all the time - just turn your hat around - wear your pants saggin down - sport a dollar sign on a chain - make a mutha ****er think you got game - then all you gotta do is just repeat your name....

All time I think the distinction belongs to Big Daddy Kane or Rakim.

Presently I think that Pharoahe Monch is better than most. His older **** with Organized Konfusion is sick and his new stuff has definitely evolved for the better. Listen to the song "Mayor" off Soundbombing 2 and you'll know what I'm talking about. Dopest lyracist out there. Honerable mentions go to Killah Priest, Can-I-Bus, and Pun

nas and big get some mentions. scarface though is my favorite rapper ever. he has put out a few classis like the diary, the fix, and grip it on that other level with the geto boys. i cant wait for the new geto boys album "the foundation" it was originally supposed to be called war and peace. it drops jan.25 if it doesnt get pushed back again.

My favorite of all time is Guru from Gang Star:

[guru]
First and foremost, some rappers are sweet like fructose
When i **** back these lyrics, y'all punks best be ghost
I be the seven twenty-one, eighteen twenty-one
The illest one, i'm almost doper than anyone
Straight out the late nights of bed-stuy
Steppin up, y'all put your weapons up, i make heads fly
You're artificial like saccarhin
You're crazy fake, it's more than skills you be lackin in
Concepts you bite, cause your identity ain't tight
Tryin to be somethin you're not, like pullin a knife at a gunfight
I'm troopin on night air like flight number 106
And gettin all up in your ****in mix
You get me upset, and i got you uptight
Cause my committee's in your city tonight, aight?
We got seventeen million of us plus, two million indians
That makes 19 mil, lightin **** up like wild bill
I be the, supreme father plus the ill kid with drama
My karma, creates the teflon to pierce your body armor
And make sure you check the **** before you walk to me, or talk to me
Steppin to me improperly, you just may catch the weaponry
My specialty is tearin tracks out the frame
You know my ****in name, i rule all game
I'm universal on all planes, what's your claim?

Nobody been this long awaited since Jesus
Who wouldn't believe this - I heard the word on the street is
I'm still one of the deepest on the mic since Adidas
They said I changed the times from the rhymes that I thought of
So I made some more to put the New World in Order
with Mathematics, put your status above the average
And help you rappers, make paragraphs with graphics
Cause new days is dawnin, new ways of peformin
Brainstormin, I write and watch the night turn to mornin
On and on and, I got the whole world respondin
Rock, I keep it hot and blow the spot without warnin
The Emperor, well known for, inventin a sentence
full of adventure, turnin up the temperature
Rush with adrenaline, how long has it been again
to be in the state of mind that Rakim is in?

When I'm out proppin - either, hangin or shoppin
People see me stop and ask me when the album droppin
The wait is over, in-formation like a soldier
like I told ya, greater stronger, now that I'm older
I broke the, code of silence with overloads of talents
My only challenge, is not to explode in violence
I'm Asiatic, and blazin microphones a habit
At least once durin the course of a day, it's automatic
In ghetto apparel, mind of a Egyptian Pharoah
Far from shallow, thoughts travel like an arrow
Allah's monotony, so far they can't stop me
You know, Ra want property like Mumar Khadafi
More thoughts than Bibles, recital - taught disciples
A sawed off mic, so words scatter like a rifle
Thoughts that's trifle, I'm bustin these for you
Aiyyo, technical difficulties is through

When I float at night, I show em new heights, I go to write
They know I strike with new prototypes to blow the mic
Critics and biters, don't know where my source of light is
Still leave authors and writers with arthritis
Cursed kids like the Pyramids when they found the style
First to ever let a rhyme flow down the Nile
The rebirth of hip-hop'll be dropped now
cause the crowd didn't hear the original in a while
So be alarmed, what you bout to see is the bomb
Like, 3-D in 'Nam, vivid like CD-Rom

Info kept like "internet.com"
My note-book's my bond like the Holy Qu'ran
Since I came in the door, said it before
But no I ain't down with Eric B. no more
At night the open mic be invitin me to rhyme
So yo I'm online, it's been a long time

Sorry bro, but I can't really take your comments seriously when it comes to hip hop after the whole "Wu-Tang" debacle.

There has never been a great lyricist to come out of the south. With Cash Money, the Miami scene, and now Lil' Jon's stuff, there has never been a great lyricist. The only great rapper I would say was Scarface. Now there is a truly great rapper.
Ludacris comes to mind...

Ludacris very underrated... but he hurts himself with those stupid songs like Pimpin all over the world and the austin powers rip off.

Mmm
Now let's get down to business, *****es
Cause it seems like y'all just keep on tryin to diss this
***** that you know that's been down for years
I've clowned for years, and y'all could never fade my peers
One two three four five six seven
Nine, ten, Eiht you can't win
Cause all the way around ***** I gets respect
and youse a ***** that can't even get no props in your set
?Trag new park? you say huh
Wanna be rippin, but now it's time to do some set trippin
So listen close, cause I don't want y'all to miss
That I'm bout to break it down for this *****, check it
Acacia, Poplar Maple Spruce Cedar Elm
Westside trees sprayin all the fleas
that's from the three and four hundred block P-Funk riders
(So *****z watch yo' ass at that center divider *gun blast*)
Now Erik Titer, tell my why you seem so tame
When I caught you at the airport, shakin like a crap game
You looked up and you seen my *****z comin
And you looked like your ***** ass was bout to start runnin
But all I wanted to do was kick a little coversation (yo whatup)
And see if we can fix this little situation
But would I f**k you up was what you wondered
Yeah, that's probably why you changed your little pager number
(punk
ass)
But *****es like you don't grow
You can't even look me in my eye, let alone go toe to toe
And callin me skinny, youse a clown
I'ma call you Theo, cause you weigh ninety-two point three
pounds
Wack ass actor, movie script killer
Fool don't you know, Quik is still the *****
Compton psycho, boy you oughta quit
Your records don't hit, and *****es don't jock your ****
You need to stay down you Compton clown
and get off of the nuts of the *****z with guts
Because I'm down with the Trees, I'm down with Death Row
I'm down with Black Tone, and I'm down with the fo'
So when we cross paths and I hope that's soon
I'ma boot your motherf**kin ass to the moon
You need to quit bangin under false pretense
Cause if don't make dollars, it don't make sense
*chorus*
If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense
So don't kill game, let the pimpin commence
If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense
So don't kill game, let the people, commence
If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense
So don't kill game, let the pimpin commence
If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense
Because you gotta give it up to the crown prince
Now I'ma swing it to the right and, right into the left hand
Take a deep breath and, cook it like a chef and
this is dedicated to the C-P-T
No better yet T-T-P, or the *****z that look up to me
I make it my business, to be that true forever
and whenever I can come clever well that's my endeavor
so whether or not you understand, that there's only one DJ
Q-U-I-K
with no C still you can't be me

Because I'm floatin in my Lex and, depositin fat checks and
gettin mad sex while I floss the NSX and
doin what I wanna, and youse a goner *****
for thinkin that you can catch me slippin on a street corner
Remember Compton's in the house, and Quik is in the hood
Sippin yak with all my *****z cause it's tooted good
So don't knock it til you try it, cause Eiht he tried to knock
it
But he's still walkin round with my nuts in his pocket (beyotch)
So put tha P in it represent and sip that Miller
And for those of y'all concerned, this is still Eiht Killa *gun
blast*
Let me take a load off my scrotum little pest
If it don't make dollers *****, you know the rest
*chorus*
Now I done sold my f**kin soul to the **** that I kick
While you groupie ass *****z keep on ridin the dick
You oughta know that DJ Quik ain't your average everyday
motherf**ker
(hah) Slick like a snake cause I stuck ya
Now, I never had my dick sucked by a man befo'
But you gon be the first you little trick ass hoe
Then you can tell me just how it taste
But before I nut I shoot some piss in your face
you f**kin coward, tremblin like a nervous wreck
Cause when I caught your ass, you put yourself in check
And when you left my presence, you left expedient
You ain't no f**kin killer, youse a comedian, beyotch
Tell me why you act so scary
Givin your set a bad name wit your misspelled name
E-I-H-T, now should I continue
Yeah you left out the G cause the G ain't in you
Remember that time you was rollin on the Westside
And a little brown bucket pulled up on your side
Caught at that light in your Camry in the midst of a
REAL killer, tell me did you feel a little nervous (hell yeah)
You was in the shadow of death
With two trey-five-sevens pointed at your chest, hmm
Whatchu gon do, where was your *****z that kill at
You ain't got no killers so kill dat
Holdin up your hands and beggin for a pass
You lucky they didn't just to get to dumpin on yo' ass
Cause this game you think is funny is some real ****
So you need to be more careful who you f**kin wit, beyotch!
*chorus*
(line 4) I'm through playin with your punk ass
Shouts goes out, to my well known road dog
What's up Dozun Tru, they don't understand it baby
they can't fade us out here on these Compton streets (beyotch)
It's bigger than they can imagine
To the whole entire Death Row family
Both sides, whassup *****z
And my ***** big Suge, known for keepin **** poppin
To my ***** Big J, my little ***** Hi-C, little straight G
And that little singin ass ***** Danny Boy
Y'all don't understand, y'all can't fade this
I'M the first ***** that was 'Bangin on Wax'
Yeah if you remember, nineteen eighty-seven underground tapes
And it don't stop, and it won't stop

Camron is one of the most underrated lyricist. He's not top 10 all time, but he's probably top 10 today.

Tarver is my dad

Nas, Rakim, Cormega, Rass Kass, Canibus, Chino XL, GZA...those are great lyricists, those who put 50 cent as a good lyricist should be shot.

Canibus, Tupac, Eminem

Canibus is soooooo ****ing under appreciated, thanks to the bull**** blacklist he's basically on. That **** is just gay too. **** that, its like McCarthy-ism all over again for Bis. Just because he embarrassed Russell Simmons' boyfriend.
