Yeah Shavers punches harder, but they both punch WAY to hard for each other, if Cooney hit Shavers it would be the same as if Shavers hit Cooney, either way their going out on a stretcher.

I give a ver small edge to Cooney for his height and reach.
But as Shavers proved beautifully against Holmes, he can rip tall guys heads off to, and is one hella-tough guy!

I'm thinking Gerry Cooney by early stoppage. He was a better boxer in my opinion, and also had reach and height advantages. He manages to avoid Shavers' bombs to land his own.

I somehow see Cooney survive the more aggressive(Im picking the pressure type Shavers on this one) Shavers, and after a while land something. then Shavers goes into his typical ''freezing mode''. If he got hit cleanly a few times, he'd freeze and that would be the end of it.

Great Fight! This would be a hell of a war. Both men would defiently get floored, but in end Cooney wins by KO/TKO in the 5th.
