Plenty of us (myself included) are no strangers to the odd temp ban when things get overheated, but it makes BS look ridiculous if someone gets banned then comes back within the hour under another ID.
It's well known that JuyJuy - who was very publicly banned - is still posting under this Alt Account: http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showpost.php?postcount=6&p=1165124
It just undermines any semblance of authority this place's moderation has if someone comes back the very next day as another name when they're supposed to be BANNED.

Manny P, Bloodshed and Tony Blitz all got IP banned (I think) so it seems as if the mods already do this in the most serious cases.

...Bloodshed is also Noobomb and he was in the thunderdome today lurking around.

Bloodshed's got an alt? :) I always said he had an obsession with them so he must do it himself...

Yeah, it isn't hard to get round an IP ban though. Register a backup under another IP or get yourself something to randomise your IP and you're sorted.

...Is that the same as a floating IP? I have three different computers in the house that I access boxingscene from so it would be hard to keep track of me or ban an IP and make it stick.

If they're on the same network they would probably have the same IP I guess. I'm not a computer expert by any means.

I suspect from what I've seen before - like the fact that he had a profanity about Eubank as his usertitle and it took him two months to work out how to change it - that it would be beyond JuyJuy to do a floating ISP.
Regardless, if JuyJuy is banned, JuyJuy should be banned... not back here posting under another ID.

Do you reckon this guy is a new JuyJuy alt? Seems very JuyJuy orientated in his speech and topics:
