Buy one from a shop that already full, that kinda stuff on ebay has too many drawbacks. Just go get a 75LB bag and you'll be fine.

i say if you are more of a speed puncher or just not heavy handed i would go 60. If you wanna feel it in your hands and you want some resistance go 70-75, if you are a heavy handed fighter or just a strong dude, i would go 80-85. Be careful though, hit to low and you'll break your hand. Remember to hit it as it goes away from you. Until you get the bag broken in if you hit it while its on the comeback you can sprain shit rather easy. Dont lie to yourself if your really gonna buy one. Make sure that you buy what works for you. Dont go for the big weight if it doesnt feel right. When you hit the bag and its the right bag for you, you'll know.

Also, if you decide to get a 60 pound one and after a while you feel like you want to go higher. One thing you can do is take weights and thread the chain through the free weights where you tie it up at in the rafters of your basement. You will not feel it in the hands like you would with a bag that was made to be 85 pounds. But you will feel the added weight in your arms and back, not to mention your abs, thighs, calfs, and feet. It simulates and larger opponent and having to keep him away.

Any more questions feel free to ask.

wait a minute. That one night where we were talking shit back and forth about which one would kick the other ones ass, you said that you were something like 6'6 245 pounds. How in the hell are you not hitting the 80-85 pound bags. Now i know i would take you.

dude, it was all I could afford at the time. By the way, my height and weight hasn't changed, but I'm getting stronger day by day  :boxing:

mschill, it depends on not only your weight but your boxing experience. have u just started boxing? if ut have then u prob have crappy technique and not much power. from wat i already know, i wud recomend a 100lb bag, u can get lighter, but 100lb will do u good coz it will be ahrd for u to move it around so it will really test ya

If you're in the USA, check out Play It Again Sports, I picked up a used 75lb Everlast bag for about $30. A little duct tape, and it works great.
