He was just running and then would come in and throw a combination that half didnt land and the other half were love taps and the crowd goes crazy like they always do for Oscar. Samething happened against Shane. He would throw these combos that most didnt land and the rest had no power and everyone would scream.

I will say this though. I was a boxing fan then but Im a huge one now. I have never rewatched it and if I did I might would think different now. That was a while ago

I mostly agree but I did think that as the fight went on Tito started landing more and more and when he did it looked like they were hurting Oscar. Then you couple that with the fact that Oscar ran the last few rounds and wasnt landing his ownself how can you let the guy win? That would set a bad precident. If someone did that to Erik you wouldnt want them to win

If Tito wouldve stoped chasing him then the crowd wouldve booed all night. Thats why the judges gave it to him. This was supposed to be one of the greatest fights in history and like Tito said "It wasnt my fault, I wanted to fight but he didnt". I agree that Tito is like Chico and neither have learned how to cut off the ring but Oscar did not deserve the victory fighting that way. People like to copare it to Hopkins but X landed way more meaningful punches and while he was boxing he still managed to trade alot. Even if he wouldve faught like Spinks did to Mayorga I wouldve gave it to him, but I thought he ran the whole fight

Chico didnt cut off the ring, Frietas just ran out of gas plain and simple. I also think that Spinks beat Mayorga easily and I didnt think that he ran, I just thought that he boxed beautifuly but I think Oscar ran but like I said, I havent watched it again and if I did, I might think differently now

For what? I could give a damn about that fight

it's just about who can hit the other guy more. DLH did that and in the end he hit more than tito. I think that the last rounds of a fight count more than the first subconsciously, and they're more important to win cause that's the impression that you leave the audience with. Say DLH really ran for the first couple of rounds and then turned and boxed from the outside until the end, I'm pretty sure that the fight would have been scored in his favor.
