View Full Version : Jeremy Jackson injured

After suffering a torn pectoral muscle while training, Jeremy “The Scorpion” Jackson has been forced to withdraw from his highly anticipated welterweight bout with Jonathan Goulet on January 16th’s Ultimate Fight Night 3 card.
“After wrestling at training I was using the shower and I thought I was having a heart attack,” said Jackson. “I got checked out and found out I have a torn pec muscle”.
Jackson, a UFC vet, was understandably disappointed by the news
“I can’t sleep,” he said, “I knew I would have beaten him, it would have been a good fight.”
Once healed, Jackson hopes to be back in the Octagon to make a run at the welterweight title. But for now, the injury is just a frustrating way to start 2006.
“It’s hard for me to go out in public,” said Jackson, “because all my fans remind me of how bad this sucks.”
A replacement opponent to face Jonathan Goulet on January 16th will be announced…
the giant one 01-01-2006, 07:03 PM Duane Bang Ludwig is the replacement. And get well soon Jeremy
GeNeRaL 01-03-2006, 01:15 AM Damn. :( Woulda been nice to see Jeremy back in there. Get well soon!
LHWchamp5 01-03-2006, 11:09 AM jonathan goulet?? Glad to see they recognize the talent canada has..
So is GSP champ yet?? lol
Fallout 01-06-2006, 12:40 AM Its a shame. I don't think there is a better striker at 170 than Jeremy. I mean, Nick Diaz has really good hands and knocked out Robbie Lawler. Diaz wanted nothing to do with Jeremy standing. Maybe the fact Jeremy knocked him silly before had something to do with it.
I hope Zuffa gives Jeremy another shot. Bang's replacing him, maybe Zuffa can set up a fight between him or Bang, or maybe even Cummo. Those would be great fights IMO...

Of course Canada has great talent!!! I don't think it matters "where" a fighter comes from!!
When Jeremy first called, saying he was having trouble breathing, like a ton of bricks was on his chest, scared me pretty bad..
Then when his fiance told me his color was grayish & he was clammy, I was ready to drive up there at 120 miles an hour, I figured it wouldn't take me the usual 5 hrs at that speed....
We waited by the phone for 3 hours until he called with the news the docs had found blood in his chest area & felt the tear. That info was better than what we first thought. I know he was disappointed, I think he was even more upset at having to back out because he knows what it's like for a fighter to have to prepare for someone else.
And it meant alot to be able to get back in there from the long layoff after losing his brother Oscar, but his time will come hopefully. And there are lots of shows out there if UFC doesn't use him for awhile, ya know?

Wow that must have been something!
I would feel the same way if it were my son.
you know the saying good health is the best wealth!
Do you know what caused that to happen?
momita 01-07-2006, 08:37 PM hectari, he might have done it training, but he also is head of security at a club in Ventura & he breaks up alot of fights with some pretty big guys!!
Coupla months ago, none of his bouncers could keep down a drunk NFL player & Jeremy KO'd him as the guy was swinging at him. The guy had even bitten one of the bouncers. All because they have to shut down the drinks 1/2 hour before closing & the guy got pissed & started going apeshit!
Care to drop the name of the NFL player?
RastaSmoker 01-07-2006, 08:48 PM why does the Ufc show Assuerio Silva record as 30-2 he is something like 12-2 or some shit like that
RastaSmoker 01-07-2006, 08:50 PM wait never mind, they counted vale tudo as well

Ya bouncing is a really really tough job! cause your not allowed to use weapons and your only defense is yourself against a crazed drunk guy.
If the guy hit him in the chest hard that could happen but also if someone heavy sat on his chest.
All in all good luck to him and his career!
my uncle was in the marines and he has something similar he was benching a heavy heavy weight and something in his lung or a vein broke he is ok that was when he was 21 he is 56 now.
