View Full Version : The Most Unlikable Athlete....
jabsRstiff 01-10-2005, 09:49 AM The most unlikable athlete of all time has to be Randy Moss.
He is a friggin moron....an embarrassment.
I generally don't let an athlete's personality effect his worth.
But, as excellent a player as Moss is, I wouldn't want him on my team.
He's that bad a guy.
SonnyG8R 01-10-2005, 10:11 AM Moss is a complete thug, but a hell of a wide receiver.
In high school he and a friend almost killed a kid. He did some time and then went to FSU when Notre Dame turned him down. He was then kicked off the team in Tallahassee for testing positive for drugs while on probabtion.
The guy also has a history of domestic violence against his girlfriend (mother of at least 1 of his kids).
Then a few years ago he ran over that traffic cop lady. She got in front of his car and he rolled her right up on the hood. (Actually that was kind of funny)
And on the field he may be the most talented wide out of all time but he wastes his talent. He takes plays off. Doesn't hustle. Disrespects the fans...
Allen Iverson is another jerk.
Others i don't like:
Barry Bonds, Ray Lewis, John Rocker
jabsRstiff 01-10-2005, 10:22 AM I love Ray Lewis. I love his ability, his intensity, his love of the game, his desire to tear guys up, his desire to win.
Ray Lewis is the ultimate football player.
Ray Lewis is NOT a murderer. Ray Lewis is simply guilty of being loyal to some less-than-desirable friends.
jack_the_rippuh 01-10-2005, 11:19 AM Well I don't think my reasons are as good as you guys' but when Michael Jordan was in his prime, I couldn't stand him...
Call it hating if you want, but I didn't like him, because he was too freakin' good, and use to always beat my team.
I remember the year when Miami was #1 or #2 in the east and the bulls were either #7 or #8 and they ended up having to play in the first round and the damn near swept the Heat. The time Alonzo Mourning made the prediction that they will win game 4 (they won, btw)
marvdave 01-10-2005, 12:18 PM Allen Iverson is my least favorite by far. He single handedly made me abandon my favorite basketball team. but then again, I no longer watch the NBA.
i know nothing about the NFL , but when i was boxing the doc who was in charge of my amateur team used to work for tampa bay (i think that was the name of the team) , and he told me NFL players were ghetto dudes and that most were juiced up. he said that he had to go to psychiatric hospitals a lot cause his players had violent behaviour aggravated by the juice side effects.
reading your posts it looks kinda true , but i d like to know your opininon.
Soundtraveler 01-10-2005, 12:34 PM Moss is a jerk plain and simple, and he doesn't deserve all that money he gets paid when he is setting such a bad example for the kids who idolize him. To say that he isn't a team player would be to put it mildly....
jpboxer3 01-10-2005, 12:45 PM The selfish spoiled ballhog Kobe Bryant
He's the main reason Phil Jackson,Shaq and Malone left LA. NUFF SAID
Explosivo 01-10-2005, 01:24 PM Moss is a jerk. I wouldnt want him on my team. He's a desease in the locker room as far as I can tell and he only cares about himself.
Kobe Bryant is another piece of crap. He talks about the Lakers like they all play for him now that he has gotten rid of Shaq and Phil. The man is single handidly responsible for the team's demise.
jack_the_rippuh 01-10-2005, 02:29 PM It's kind of fun playing the person who everyone loves to hate for a while, but after a while it gets dumb..You feel like saying leave me alone to it all.
{BrownBomber} 01-10-2005, 03:14 PM The selfish spoiled ballhog Kobe Bryant

He is averaging carrer high in assist. He is selfish, and spoiled by Dr. Jerry Bus :D
oldgringo 01-10-2005, 03:19 PM I hate Kobe Bryant...Peyton Manning...Mike Dunleavy...Carlos Boozer...I hate football players like Al Harris who stare down the camera because they thought that they made a play when really Daunte Culpepper just overthrew Randy Moss.
Moss is a retard but I think everyone is forgetting Terrel Owens..in my mind he is far worse than Moss...
I think you can make an easy case that Moss cares about winning much more than
Owens...neither guys has any class but if I had to choose Owens has far less class than Moss...Randy has actually come a long way since his college days at FSU/ND/Marshal.
I believe that Moss could catch 4 balls for 39 yards and if the vikings moved on then he would be happy...Owens would be *****ing up a storm...he has been clearly a win second guy so far in his career...at least Randy has made the adjustment when it comes to this.
I just cant stand Beckham he is such an idiot and i think he truly is gay.
trinidadpr87 01-10-2005, 03:46 PM for me it's kobe and t.o.
Mr. Ryan 01-10-2005, 03:51 PM I guess Jim McMahon would be up there, he was really a snob and annoying. Ron Artest is unlikable because it has become apparent that basketball isn't his main objective, it's his rap career. Cedric Ceballos, when he skipped a few games to go on vacation with his family in '96, that made me sick. Ricky Williams' retirement debacle made him lose alot of favor with me. Randy Moss' questionable work ethic also makes me sick.

.....How the hell could you hate a guy like Peyton Manning? Class kid, great family, great football player, and a great teamate. ???
The Fix 01-10-2005, 04:52 PM moss is kinda funny but he seems like an ass. my most hated athlete is dennis rodman he acted like a ***** and sat on the court for not getting his way
Explosivo 01-10-2005, 05:06 PM GO CHARGERS!!!! :D
Yes, an very dissapointing weekend for me indeed. And your right, I need to change my custom title.
The Fix 01-10-2005, 05:21 PM there is a lot of guys who you could name like fuzzy zeolor(spelling?,racial comments),junior seau(racial comments), jamal lewis(helpin sell cocaine), darryl strawberry(arrested several times),pete rose, and mike tyson that have done a lot worse than randy moss.
Chups 01-10-2005, 06:41 PM Maurice Green.......arrogant, gives the U.S. a bad name in the Olympics.
neils7147933 01-10-2005, 08:49 PM Randy Moss? Jim McMahon? Come on, guys, I save "Most unlikeable for rapists, killers, kidnappers, woman beaters, and child molestors (oops - did I leave out the word "allegedly"?
So that list includes:
OJ Simpson
Kobe Bryant
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Ray Lewis
Calvin Murphy
Riddick Bowe
And that's just the "worst of the worst"
I'll leave Tyson off because I have issues with the "victims" of his most famous cases. Chances are, though, he belongs on the list with the other losers.
oldgringo 01-10-2005, 09:12 PM .....How the hell could you hate a guy like Peyton Manning? Class kid, great family, great football player, and a great teamate. ???
He cost michigan sole ownership of the national title in 97...him and his fat ass coach. Me and Tracy have been over this many a time. I hate Tim Duncan too.
I really dislike Paolo Di Canio, an Italian football player, who woreships Mussolini and even has "Dux" tatooted on one of his arms.
I don't like Gadir Guseinov, a medicore chess player, who frequently asked his fans for money so he could bet.
Plus it annoys me every time I see Sven Ottke commentating because he's acting as if he'd have been the greatest boxer ever.
And last but not least I hate all of these idiots that threat their women like ****.
jack_the_rippuh 01-10-2005, 09:45 PM Well geez. It looks like I'm the only one so far who disliked an icon.

The guy was a ball hog and an egomaniac
A compulsive gambler
And an admitted adulterer in a long-term relationship with a Merrillville, IN woman
And what was that sticking-out-the-tongue crap?
Mr. Untouchable 01-10-2005, 09:59 PM I don't know about athletes, but Bill Callahan and Jim Fassel are some very unlikeable Football Coaches
Dr.Depravity 01-10-2005, 10:45 PM I really hate...
Randy Moss (obvious reasons)
Dante Culpepper (that stupid rolling thing he does with his hands)
Ray Lewis (Talks too much ****, for someone narrowly escaping a murder rap)
Zab Judah (Ego)
Jordan (Ego)
Roger Clemons (whats with throwing a broken bat at Piazza?)
Kobe Bryant (The whole Colorado thing, plus narcing off your fellow players)
Payton Manning (WHEN YOUR UP BY 30 POINTS YOU DONT HAVE TO THROW 40 YARD TOUCHDOWN BOMBS!!!YOU STAT CRAZY PIECE OF ****!!!
SonnyG8R 01-10-2005, 11:31 PM Payton Manning (WHEN YOUR UP BY 30 POINTS YOU DONT HAVE TO THROW 40 YARD TOUCHDOWN BOMBS!!!YOU STAT CRAZY PIECE OF ****!!!

And was by far the best professional athlete to ever live. The only other guy who comes anywhere close is Gretzky.

Calvin Murphy was aquitted. It turned out it was all a scheme to try and get money from him.
Ray Lewis also never really did anything. He saw what happend but he did not do anything
neils7147933 01-11-2005, 12:22 AM Calvin Murphy was aquitted. It turned out it was all a scheme to try and get money from him.

OJ was acquitted, too. Doesn't mean he didn't do it...
But I see your point.
I think Kobe was just making sweet love to that tramp in Colorado, too, lol
I can't count the number of consensual one-night stands I've had that resulted in my T-shirt being covered with my partner's blood...
Sir_Jose 01-11-2005, 12:32 AM two completely different situations.
Calvin Murphy was the victim in this case. The scheme was exposed and his name should be cleared of any wrong doing.
Ray Lewis' only crime was not being a snitch
The Fix 01-11-2005, 12:38 AM what about george foreman? i know he is a good guy now but i heard he was a real ******* in his day.

in the Murphy case, did the girls fess up to making it all up or was it just that the jury sided with the defense? The news article I read said the defense speculated it was about money, but I think saying it was "exposed" is a tad premature.
I don't think he should be punished since he was acquitted, but that doesn't mean he doesn't fall into "unlikable".
14 kids with 9 women and 5 share a common story...I don't like him either way.
jabsRstiff 01-11-2005, 07:36 AM THANK YOU. JOSE !
How come people stil call Ray Lewis a "murderer" ?
Did any of you pay attention to the story when it was happening ?
LuKahnLi 01-11-2005, 08:53 AM I thought what Moss did was funny.....
Johnny_Rocket 01-11-2005, 09:02 AM Ike Ibeabuchi!!!! Actually I like this guy but what a friggen nut. Patrick Roy appartanly beat his wife...O.j. of course....
LuKahnLi 01-11-2005, 09:05 AM Hector Camacho Jr. is pretty unlikable.
jabsRstiff 01-11-2005, 09:10 AM Name a non-boxer who seems like a real ass wipe.
jabsRstiff 01-11-2005, 09:11 AM I thought what Moss did was funny.....
I don't care about what Moss did during this weekend's game.
He was the most unlikable athlete going in to this past weekend.
LuKahnLi 01-11-2005, 09:13 AM Name a non-boxer who seems like a real ass wipe.
Ray Carruth is pretty bad.....
SonnyG8R 01-11-2005, 10:27 AM Ray Carruth is pretty bad.....
Didn't he hire a hit on his pregnant girlfriend. That is pretty bad.
As for Ray Lewis, the guy is the scum of the Earth. He held people back while his friend stabbed a guy. Then he ushered the murderer into his waiting car and spead off. He's an accessory to murder at the very least.
marvdave 01-11-2005, 11:14 AM aside from criminals and murderers, one of the most unlikeable guys to me was Steve Carlton.
marvdave 01-11-2005, 11:18 AM aside from criminals and murderers, one of the most unlikeable guys to me was Steve Carlton.
how could I forget Ryan Leaf and Paul O'neil?

Marv....
As a player, Carlton is beloved (rightly so) here in Philadelphia.
But, as a person....what a whacko !
LuKahnLi 01-11-2005, 11:34 AM I don't like ANY player who attributes a great play to God or Jesus.
Yeah, God stopped worrying about the universe for bit so that he could help you catch that touchdown scoring pass. God took his attention off the tides and gravity to help you throw a 95 MPH fastball. GET OVER YOURSELF.

agreed, I think he was one of the greatest pitchers I have ever seen when in his prime. If I was from Philly, I'm sure I would love him

stop bad mouthing Holyfield right now damn it!!! :D
LuKahnLi 01-11-2005, 11:38 AM I said 'player'. That means someone on a team sport. Boxing doesn't count.

i assume your kidding?
LuKahnLi 01-11-2005, 11:47 AM i assume your kidding?
Mostly. Hehe.
Nah, Holyfield doing that annoys me too.
One of the worst things about the Red SOx winning was having to hear Schilling.
Mr. Violence 01-11-2005, 11:53 AM I think it would be OJ Simpson.
LuKahnLi 01-11-2005, 12:21 PM JM Marquez because of the ***** move he pulled with Pacquaio.

Kurt Warner was the king of this until God made him lose to the Patriots with a heartbreaking last second field goal. Where's your messiah now, Kurt? :D
LuKahnLi 01-11-2005, 12:32 PM I know. When they lose.....what was that? God abandoned them?
Also, if GOD is responsible for you making the great play......what makes you such a great athlete?
Bombardier 01-11-2005, 01:08 PM I know. When they lose.....what was that? God abandoned them?
I think they think that God was trying to teach them something...people will rationalize as much as possible to hold onto their shaky beliefs.

This was not OJ the case that went on forever and there was all kinds of evidence.
This lasted about a minute and the second the girls stories started to come apart the case was over.
exactly thos are kids that he never even talked to. They didn't grow up with him or anything they got together and decided they were gonna try and get some money money cause they were bitter.
SonnyG8R 04-13-2005, 02:45 PM I didn't feel like starting a new thread so I decided to put this here.

What do you think of Oneal's accusation, and the idea of the NBA rising the minimum age?
jack_the_rippuh 04-13-2005, 03:58 PM It would be dumb to make an age limit. I can't think of one good reason why there should be an age limit. Anyone else?
BadMagick 04-13-2005, 04:29 PM O'Neal's an idiot. To further elaborate on why he's an idiot, he talks about the army and the NBA as if they were the same group. The NBA is the one making the rules about their "company," not the US government. How is a group putting an age limit on something "unconstitutional?" I mean, that's like saying a club not allowing people in until they are 21 is unconstitutional. (not like party-type club, but umm... like a golf club, or something. You should get my point)
It would be dumb to make an age limit. I can't think of one good reason why there should be an age limit. Anyone else?
Yeah, these kids look great in highschool, and then they suck in the pros, and they're ****ed for life, because they aren't mature enough to handle the money situation. Then they are bankrupt, and sucking **** for drugs, and money, while living on the street. Also, what if they suffer a career ending injury, but are fully capable of other things? (As to say, they aren't in a wheel chair) Four million dollars will last a long time, if you handle your money right, but what else are they going to do? They never achieved star-status, so they aren't going to be making deals for promos and such. The college education is a good thing, because it A) allows them to mature more, and B) allows them to be able to do something after basketball. (An optional C- it teaches them to not blow their money like dumbasses)
Not to mention the NBA loses credibility by allowing kids to play the game, and the egotisticalness of the kids going in there. They are all out for themselves, so the sport goes down, in general, because you have a bunch of self-centered *******s playing. That's why baseball sucks now. (self-centered *******s)
jack_the_rippuh 04-13-2005, 05:02 PM O'Neal's an idiot. To further elaborate on why he's an idiot, he talks about the army and the NBA as if they were the same group. Yeah, I guess he never heard the saying, "Man is born free, but everywhere he is in chains." He needs to realize that the NBA makes their own rules/laws and whoever wants to be in or is already in the NBA needs to follow those rules and regulations. The military comparison might get the wrong kind of attention, by the way...that's one of those arguments you can make in your living room with friends and stuff while discussing it, but when you go public saying some **** like that you're not going to get much support.
jack_the_rippuh 04-13-2005, 05:56 PM Hey Old Gringo, why do you hate Mike Dunleavy and Carlos Boozer? What do you think of Coach Mike Krzyzewski? I personally love Duke..
