I think he's very good. I'd love to see him get a shot against Klitschko or Peter. I'd favor Brock to win both of those fights.

Nah, he was just protected a lot better. He is ok at best and has no aggressiveness at all. I've seen quite a few of his fights and he didn't impress me at all. He is still young though so I guess I'll have to wait and see.

You weren't impressed with the McCline fight? Brock beat him by outslugging him, dude. Sure, McCline has degressed a LOT in his last few fights, but this was better than Byrd's win. Byrd hunted and pecked a gassed McCline to win on points, but Brock beat him up!! I thought that was a great win, especially since Brock, like Byrd, had to climb off the canvas to win.

By the way, in case you hadn't noticed, McCline is a confidence fighter. Now that he's been beat a few times, he'll never be a serious contender again even though he SHOULD have been.

what about the ettine fight that was a really good scrap. he can be cautious but he does have a good punch so he could be more aggressive I agree he would have KO'ed mcline if he could have kept fighting like he did after the kd.

I think Peter would take Brock out...

Well McCline almost got ko'd by Byrd and Etienne has been knocked down more times then a set of dominos! I was impressed with the McCline fight at first but McCline has proven that he is washed up with each and every fight as of late. The one thing that Brock does is he does what he has to do to win... and thats all he does. He does nothing exciting. He has good skills but it took that knockdown by McCline to get him motivated. He needs to show more aggressiveness in the ring before he ends up like Guinn. I might be judging him a little early because he is young and has time to get better, but we'll see.

EvilSaint is pathetic. He's the king of resorting to name-calling when you disagree with him or bash one of his boy toy fighters. Him and Tha_Greatest sit there and try to argue with you, but by the end, even though you win the argument, you really lose because you see how much time you wasted talking to them. I'm pretty sure they're the two dumbest posters of all time. I don't even respond anymore. Makes me feel dumb.

who would you guys like to see brock step in against I think he has a good shot of beating anyone but toney would be tough for him

DiegoFuego

Wladimir Klitschko, David Tua, Sam Peter, Shannon Briggs, or Fres Oquendo. I think Brock beats 'em all.

what really impressed me about brock when he was knocked down was that he got hit hard. He recuped realy quickly and came back with a vengence. It reminded me of Tito

I had ring side seats at Calvin's last match against Bostice in Charlotte, NC. Calvin was not that impressive. I personally thought the fight should have been over by the 6th round with a KO by Brock. But it never happened. He won almost every round clearly. I think he lacks the KO power needed to be a great HW champ. He had good skill but it just seemed he lacked power.

In this division, you really don't need power at all. You need a strong chin and endurance to be heavyweight champion. Therefore, the best contenders to unify the titles are Toney and Brewster. If Vitali stuck around, we would have quite a fun round robin between these three!

WLad KO Brock inside of 6. not even close. only certain guys have what it takes to get wlad and brock isnt one of them

hes got a chance of stealing a decision over everyone else but toney, but who knows, all these guys he has beat have been beaten much more soundly by the better fighters.

Brocks good and I would take him over Peters and Wlad. Both of those fights right now would be more difficult for him, but I think that he has the heart and the skills to win against both those guys.
Although he isnt the most polished guy out there right now, but he does posses some better than average skills and discipline. he is without a doubt the most active heavyweight right now, probably one of the most active fighters in boxing currently.
A few more fights with some world class opposition and Brock could be champ in the near future, maybe before the year closes out. meaning 2006, duh.?.?.?
at the rate he's going he'll be setting up a title fight before summer 2006. he fights like every month to two months....

man, to beat Wlad you need two things: a decent punch and the ability to go into the later rounds and still be a threat.

You telling me Brock doesn't fit that bill?

no **** diego, brock has proven he can fight hard for all the rounds. He doesn't have that one punch power in all his punches but he has a great hook that he can put people down with on a regular basis. maybe no out cold but down.

Wlad by devastating k.o. round 4!!!
Brock knowS his talents are very limited. He's doing his best to get one big payday before being KO'ed.

Brock is a pretty good fighter and I hope he gets his shot without giving up too much to King.

I'd pick Brock over Toney and Rahman. Brewster might be a problem because of his quirky power, but Brock could definitely win a decision against him. He could beat Valuev, but again, that's hard to do and look good which means a decision may go against him. Wlad would outbox and KO him. He might beat Peter if he plays smart, because otherwise he will be swarmed and KOed by Sam.

im saying it wont get to the later rounds thats all. whatever brock can do wlad can do better, and brock will need a lot more chin just to survive. i think this is an easy call but thats what were here for, id like to see this fight AFTER wlad wins a title.

brock's chin wont hold up against peter, and idk if he can overcome wlad's reach. brock is a big question mark in my mind
