Hey guys! I finally got off my ass and started training today. Boxing has always been my favorite sport but I never trained. Well today I signed up at a local gym. I'm so out of shape right now, I was tired after a few exercises. I'm not looking to compete I just want to get in shape and build stamina. Working in front of a computer 10 hours a day and not doing anything is not right. I'm 26 years old 6'0 165lbs. I was wondering if you guys had any pointers for this rookie. Thanks in advance!

Train as hard as you can in the gym and listen and do what your trainer tells you , it will pay of in the ring ;) Good luck

Man the first day I started I couldn't lift my left arm, we did all jabs, and I'm in great shape. I just wasn't in great boxing shape.

Thanks guys! I cant wait to be in shape. My arms were killing me this afternoon. My trainer had me doing 1-2 combinations and it kicked my ass. I excited about going back tomorrow.

don't give up. make sure your eating right too.. it makes a big difference. i normally have 2 egg whites, oatmeal and a banana before i go work out. you burn hella calories in boxing, make sure your eating enough to make up for it.

take the hardest things youve done, and do them as often as you can.. that way when your trainer has you do them again you can blow through them instead of struggling.

This advice is definetly worth taking note of. I did this and now im one of the fittest in the club after just 8 months...
(P.s people there have been boxing 4-5 years and one boy for 9 years).
